330 to 205 in 14 months.  (Age 46-47)

A1c down from 9.5 to 4.5 in same time frame.

I didn't kill myself in the gym or really starve either.

Eat less. Eat better. Move more.

I went from 300 to  197  ( insert car wreck )  to 220  ,,,   I am 5'7"

I did have the gastric surgery to kick start the weight loss  and with eating better cleaner food ( no fast food no soda etc )  I was doing great,, but that car wreck had me laid up and zero exercise means no matter how little you eat ,,  it adds up .

now having to start over on the exercise  and the scale is SLOWLY starting to move again.. but keep at it

Great job, and keep it up.
Personal story: I'm 63 years old, 5'7" and I was at 255 pounds at the beginning of August '16.
I'm down to 212 as of this morning.
I had a heart attack on August 12th and started on the Ornish program a month later.  Basically a vegetarian diet with 180 minutes of exercise a week.  40 pounds down and roughly 40 more to go.

So many are concerned with what weapon, how much ammo, what foods, etc... they should stock up on in case of disaster, never contemplating that preparing one's own body and mind is the critical foundation of preparedness.

Bravo, OP. The last few pounds are the hardest, though.

Congrats to all of you!

I'm down 20 pounds, going low carb. I was held up a lot this winter due to a knee injury, but now I'm back out and active. Started at 275 at my worst, at 254 now, hope to get down to 220 by the end of the year and add muscle.

Stay on it...Down to 164 after spending years at 260-265...Cycling helps keep it off...also I eat more in the mornings..usually quit about 3 and gut it out for the rest of the day..Go to bed slightly hungry and wake up ready to eat a decent meal

Went from 310 in college down to 155 after college and I looked sick. Gained back up to 210 and felt like crap, so now I hover between 185-190, but I'd like to get back down to 175-180 this summer.

Congrats, OP!  Keep up the good work!

I'm in the same boat and eating mostly the same foods.  I'm down 28 lbs since February.  20-30 more to go to be at a weight level that I'll be happy with.  I find dieting to be pretty easy (oddly enough because I love food), but I struggle with exercise.  I absolutely hate doing it even though I always feel better afterward.  If I were better about exercising, I'd never have to worry about my weight again...

Me too, helps a lot. It's easy to let calories get away from you without even realizing it. I'm at over a 1000 day streak on Myfitnesspal currently, but more for maintenance. I lost 140 pounds back in high school.

Congrats OP and to all who have lost weight. Getting healthy and fit so we can all live to see SHTF... lol

Great job Everyone!

I too decided I finally had enough being fat at the end of 2015. Through 2016 I started eating better, hiking, and backpacking. I have lost 80 pounds and went from a 3XL & 44 waist to XL & 38 waist.

Life is so much different now! I can walk up a flight of stairs and not have to sit for 5 minutes to catch my breath. I can finally wear all the cool tactical and outdoor clothing brands since most didn't make my size before. Best part is my 5 year old daughter told me how proud she was of me!

Great job op and everyone else here who has heard the call of Dr Death.

My story is short.

January this year I was at 345 and going up after my chemo treatments and bad heath choices and I talked to my wife and I made a life change.

For once in my life my New Years resolution was going to happen.

I am as of today's weekly weigh in at 290.2 and loving life.

If your on the fence jump over to our side. We have salad and meat.

Great job everyone!

Well done all hands.  All I do is walk a couple miles a day.  Yesterday I hauled rocks in a wagon behind me. Rocks were gathered up on the dirt road and deposited around the culvert where the soil around it had collapsed.

Under 200 pounds now for the first time in 20+ years.   198.4 this morning on the scale.  B/P was 94 over 67 with my heart rate at 64.  I'm back into shirt size L instead of XXL and when I bought some shorts a week ago I ended up with 34" waist instead of the 42" I wore last summer.
Feels good.
