 I agree with the other poster, I really enjoyed last year not having a clue at all what's coming. With my family there is no surprise, it's still nice to get things don't get me wrong but I pretty much know ahead of time.

Any advice from the exchange members in general?
Obviously you don't give a man with only ARs lever gun ammo, but at the same time it shouldn't be a swap meet...it's a gift exchange! How do you boys find the line between asking and surprises? |

Got mine today :) This is the part I love and hate..... I really enjoy the surprise but then I start worrying about did I not do enough, will they hate what I sent etc. So on the one end it's a huge surprise since my partner and I didn't talk too much about what we were into, but on the other end maybe I put it a lot of stuff he already has? Oh well it is what it is, honestly I probably won't make it until Christmas..... the box is staring at me as I type this

I am an instant gratification kind of guy so I fent. I couldnt wait any longer, and boy did my partner hook it up! We did not discuss our exchange AT ALL (except for the $50 budget). He hit a home run. I guess Santa told him that I needed a fixed blade, pocket water filter and waterproof matches. The dry box, fire steel, and lamp were a nice bonus. Add to that the fact that I am a mag whore and didn't own a Lancer mag, and it made for a great exchange. I really hope you like what I sent, partner. Thank you!

Got and opened my first arfcom survival gift exchange! Got a bad ass Underarmor all season tactical coat. (OD of course)

I was hoping that you didn't already have a dremel. If the single speed doesn't meet your needs, you can exchange it at Walmart. I advise against the battery operated versions. The Dime multi-tool is also really handy. I use mine every day. Enjoy, partner. And please post pics of the project. ETA: if you've never had Dillo Dust, it is good with pork. I use it with ribs and for smoking. |
