I have done the google thing, posted on some Florida forums, but would like some firsthand information on party boats or split charter trips in Destin.

Looking to get some information on what is available species wise mid March, recommended tackle (I know most boats have gear, but frankly I have seen it as was not impressed), inside tips for bait on the party boats, and which are more accommodating for those that know what they are doing.

I know some of the 6 pack boats run split charters and I am sure there are plenty of good crews as well as some crusty ones.  I want to fish on the cheap, but might step up to a split charter if it is a better return on my time and fishing dollar investment.

Any information would be appreciated.
