A minner, as we say down heah. I was fishing for crappie and this fatty hit my shiner. 4 lb 5 oz 20". Was quite a fight on ultra-light spinning tackle!

That's entirely the wrong way to handle such a majestic fish, but he's a kid, so I hope he learns the error of his ways.

Fishing’s been tough the last couple weeks, especially after the flood- caught some fish every time we’ve gone out, but we’re not exactly killing them.  Deep, shallow, multiple kinds of baits, nothin consistent.

Going to see if we can do a little better in the morning.

Nice, I'm hanging back for a second. My club got the first tournament in this weekend, I didn't fish it. Seems like we have been under ice forever, and I'm geared up more than I ever have in the past. Only 2 fish weighed today.

Thanks. Yeah this was first outing out. We have property on a nice sized creek that feeds a big lake in the mountains of PA and its thawing out. Can not wait to go back fishing there too.

H2O Xpress 3/8 oz lipless crankbait. Color was Craw 05. It's red but translucent some companies call it "ghost". Fishing over rocks in about 25' of water. Ya'll try H2O Xpress lures. They're cheap but work great. I think the LCBs are $3.00 each.

Caught a 2.5# on a KVD 1.5 deep dive square bill in green gizzard shad, brother caught a 21” 4# shortly after on a KVD sexy shad jerk bait. Got a new boat that I wanted to get the new boat smell out of so we spent about an hour and a half on the water before it was time to go. I really love me some spring bass fishing.

On Amistad all day Friday, my oldest and my cousin fished a tournament all weekend. Caught a bunch of fish, just nothing big enough to get a check for it. They got beat up by high winds on Saturday (35mph) while I had a big breakfast.

Texas rig, whacky, jerkbaits, squarebills, spinnerbaits....

Night crawler.

Been tossing lures and senkos lately with no luck. I've never caught a bass on anything other than a night crawler. Trying to change that this year.

Black curly tail worm with red flake. Only reason why I was using it was the purple worm I had been using earlier in the day was shredded from catching so many fish.

Zoom frog, I really like these so far. Much better than their horny toad. This new material is super tough and it floats. I had to play with hooks as a traditional soft plastic frog hook with the screw lock doesn’t work with them.

I have never caught a bass on a lure before today. Caught a few on nightcrawlers, but just recently started targeting bass.

My son and I crushed them on white flukes today. Caught probably 10 bass and a walleye. Missed a few nice ones too.

Had a riot. Gonna be bass fishing a lot this summer!
