Turning 60 in early March, and for my State, I'll be illegible to get a resident Lifetime Conservation Partner Permit.

It lets me purchase a combo(basic) hunting/fishing permit for the nice sum of only $70. Sure beats the cost of $5-800 dollars depending on age for a lifetime permit.

I'm stoked on one hand, but sure makes me feel old too.

Who else has gone, or is going the Lifetime Permit route when time arrives?

When I turned 60 I was in Alaska, lifetime fishing and hunting no cost.

That's a nice benefit of Alaska to do that.

Got mine for Ks when I was in my 20's....... I wish I would've done the same for MO when I lived there for a few years

That's why I'm waiting until next month when I turn 60 here in Mo. From 40 to 59 it's $600. Turning 60 or older, it immediately drops in price to $70. Can't pass this up.

Better than here in Tennesse.

For my age group it's $1600.00 for a life time license with a projected increase to $1900.00 come July.

Pennsylvania here.  Age 72 now.  I purchased my senior resident lifetime hunting and fishing licenses at age 65.  Each cost $51.70. I also purchased the lifetime trout stamp and Lake Erie permit.  I do not remember the cost of the extra fishing stamps. Special hunting tags like doe, bear, muzzleloader, archery, etc are extra cost each year but minimal.  All in all, money well spent.

our general hunting license is $19.00 a year.  So a lifetime for $70 would be awesome.

Got lucky and after a deployment bought a Lifetime Hunting and Fishing, w/ pistol endorsement, license for my self and my daughter in WV for $600 years ago.  Glad to hear about Alaska free after 60 as I sent more than that last year alone and live there now turning 60 next year.

I tend to buy them as I move out of a state.  When I left Texas it was $1K for hunting and fishing and now it is $1800 for the combo.  When I left Louisiana I purchase mine for $1K and my 3 month old sons for $200.  I doubt I will buy one for Arkansas unless I'm moving out of state again since I can get the full combo for $25 as opposed to $350 a year for out of state.  I'm 33 and it would take me 40 years to pay back the lifetime license at this point.  I really hope I'm still hunting at 73 but who knows.  If Arkansas had a cheaper lifetime license for children I would definitely do it for my son.

Edit: At 65 I can buy a resident lifetime AR license for $25.

I'm not old enough to worry about retirement licenses... yet...

But, I purchased my lifetime permit (hunting (plus bow) and fishing) 10? years ago.  It was right before a large price increase and got it for less than $500.  I think I broke even 2 years ago.

One of the smarter investments I've made and worth every penny.
