just a thought - because the pics get posted in the various camp threads? I do think a "consolidated" pic thread would be a good idea, though, since not everyone posts a thread on their camping trips...

We found this plane while hiking an old Indian trail out in the Everglades. Probably an old drug smuggling plane from the 80's, it must've been there a long time it was picked-over and shot-up and out in the middle of nofuckingwhere. Hot as fuck, it was too. A rough day in the backcountry always beats a day in the city though!!

Sorry I dont have any "Tacticool" pics wearing full tactical gear , cammo'd out and carrying enough artillery to wipe out a small village. I do however have a pic from Ginnie Springs in FL a couple years ago We used to go there several times a year as it wasnt a real long drive from my house in FL. The pic was taken around 9am. Two weeks ago me and a group of friends attempted to climb Mt. Whitney 14,500Ft+/-. Due to weather we did not make it to the top.
But in the end I got a 5 day camping trip out of it, at many different locations on and off the mountain. Here are the pictures:

Well I have a couple of other pictures up from this trip on ARFCOM. I posted Here and Here but they are not necesarily "camping" pics per se so I did not post them here. However, half of our group, in really good shape, still attempted to summit and failed due to weather just as predicted. We only heard of one group that made it to the top that week and they had to camp for 4 days at the upper camp waiting for the proper weather, and keep in mind it was very cold and no fires were allowed.
