Yeah, I'm using a 31ft piece of wire fed with a 9:1 balun and about 10ft of counterpoise, so I odn't expect to get out very well.

I think I'm putting out like 25W with the HF Packer v4 amp I've got.

First time in a long while I've had the radio on this freq.  In and out of the shack today.  Checking the RX buffer for messages.

ETA:  Switched to 20m JT65 @ 2030Z

ETA2:  Lightning made me quit @ 0000Z.

That was also my very first JTAlert chat message

Both of the WWV stations were hammering in on 15MHz here this evening. When I saw your post I knew we had the propagation!

I'm on 6 meter JT65 for a few minutes.  I'm hearing the west coast pretty good right now.

Had a mini-pileup going for a few minutes.  Stations were actually calling me in Texas.

As soon as Ferris Buler's Day Off is over I'll hop on.

I'm limited to running barefoot until I get an amplifier keying cable for the 7100.

Going to attempt my first official SOTA activation later this morning.  It will be SSB QRP.  I am not sure of the band yet until I check the conditions but I will probably start with 20M.  The summit location is Salt Pond Mountain which is where Dirty Dancing was filmed here in VA.
