Thanks - changed my call a while back and realized when I saw your call that I didn't have you in the "new" logbook.  Good luck!

I think our other QSOs were under my old call as well.

Got some JT QSOs, decoded some PSK, I am overall happy. I couldn't hear a thing yesterday, so anything was nice to hear today. LV is right it the dead spot of my antenna, I may try swapping the polarization and see what I can pull out. 2000 miles on 5 watts is nice, but when I can't talk to my neighbors, its a bit of a problem.

Yeah, CA is tough from here on 20 meters since we're so close.  I usually have to be on 30 / 40 / 80 unless it's someone way up in the north end of the state.

Heading out to try some /P ops, phone and digital on 40 and/or 20.  Should be setup around 1930 UTC.   If I can't get cell data to update this I'll be hanging on the Arfcom Emcom primary/alts.  Call ending in HC from Southern Nevada.

QRT. Didn't get as much time to to weather and location problems.
Learned some things. Will update later.

Your TX audio is hosed, dude. Reset your pi or VAC or whatever you are using. Use MON to check it as you transmit if you are using PowerSDR.

Anything good in there? How many TV channels can you watch on the 7300 screen?

BTW, I'm staring at the 80m band on my 3000 screen. Lots of mountain ridges on it.
C'mon down to 80 meters if you figured out how to transmit with your 7300 screen. LOL.

Great signal here in Colorado.

Love that portable rig you've assembled.

Thanks for finding me and standing by while I QSO'ed with the Montana station for a few.  That setup really helped what my antenna had done in the past, although band conditions may have had something to do with it too.  But the antenna (40m dipole with W2AU 1:1 balun on a 23' painters pole) sure appears happy with how it was set according to the SWR plots.  I may have gotten a little lucky with the length too as I just measured the wire, cut it, twisted it around some insulators and put it on the air.  I was able to get it down in a saddle on the ridge and then tether the elements off to some higher points so the elements didn't come down too far giving it close to a flat top appearance.  This and the drop off from the sides of the ridge should have helped with launch.
