Anyone know what kind of fish this is?  Caught this on Old Hickory lake in middle TN.

Shadow Bass or Black Crappie.

Probably the latter if in TN.

Definitely not a crappie. It’s a type of bass, but doesn’t grow around here. Maybe a shoal bass.

I appreciate all the replies.  This got me looking into the different sunfish in our lake.  I'm leaning towards the greengil sunfish but it doesn't have the light green markings near the eyes.  Any chance this is a warmouth sunfish?
