And a huge patch of fur on the left flank is "different" I didn't get a picture of that.  I saw a tail-less deer last year but it had all sorts of bumps so I passed on it.  

 it's hard to see in this picture but they looked like a mass, not just ruffled fur

It's the biggest deer I've seen so far this season.  I don't know if this is CWD or trauma.  I'm not a trophy hunter bit a "fill the freezer" hunter.  

Would you take the shot?

To me it looks like an old wound from an arrow.
I'd take the shot!
But not in the ass like the previous person, haha!

Another possibility is she was attacked by a cat or a bear and escaped albeit tailless and without lizard genes to regrow a tail.
