Found one of these local to me and am considering it for a dedicated deer gun. I live in N. GA and want to be sure this would be "enough gun" for most shots I would take on white tail.

I bought a rossi 16" 44 mag  a few weeks ago, and owned a marlin 44 a few years back, 44mag is MORE  than enough for any deer.

any reason not to shoot THIS ammo in a Marlin 1894 .44 mag?

The 1894 in 44 will get it done all day long.

Remember, there are ammo considerations. A lot of 44 mag ammo is intended for 6" revolver barrels.  Out of a 18 or 20 barrel, speeds are much higher.  The 180 grain hollow that works well in your revolver won't penetrate as deeply in the carbine.  Stick to 240's, ideally 240 soft points....

Read up on this.

Pistol and rifle have different SAAMI specs for bullets in .44 mag.
My Marlin 1894 .44 keyholes .429, but shoots great with .431.

Check that ammo you linked is legal for deer hunting in your area.  Many states require soft point or expanding bullets.  I don't think the TMJs you linked expand.
