"Hell In The Pacific", starring Lee Marvin and ONE other dude.

Hardly any dialogue either.  But it's excellent.

What's that saying about some people's purpose is to serve as a warning to others?  That story/book/movie have all been discussed ad nauseam here and my take away when folks asked was that it was a combination of factors that did him in.

Yep, this one was excellent and had some 'unexpected' twists as well.

I liked The Road but The Survivalist actually surpassed it in starkness. It was an even more realistic portrayal of desperate humans gone feral.

The Road movie is quite a bit tamer than The Road book as they couldn't put a lot of it on film and maintain a R rating.
