That does not look zombie proof.

I will offer a thought on this, lots of the online builders of tear drop trailers (on top of a Harbor Frieght 4x8 trailer) use roof tar as an undercoat, usually a product called "asphalt emulsion"...it is thinner than regular roofing tar and doesn't have the fibers in it.  Henry's at Home Depot or also "De Willis wet stick liquid fibre roof coating"  Seems to run $8 to $10 per gallon.

That might be just the ticket for a wood floored .mil trailer like this project.  I like the looks of what you are doing here

Something like this on the front might give you some lockable space;

or this

Just a thought.

Quoted:
Today my son and I installed the racks on both sides of the trailer.  Then we hit up the racks for a 3rd coat (to fix any scratches and cover the bolts).

It looks great.

I would like to make a suggestion to you about your MFC storage rack. I see you have it attached to the wooden side wall so I will tell you what happened to me when I did this.

The wood does not hold up to the weight of the fuel can, and the on or off road bouncing. What happens is it will start to hammer the big washer you have on the inside, right through the wooden wall. Trust me, it will.

What I did was I took some flat stock that was 2" wide, 1/8" thick, and about 18" long to make a new washer. I drilled holes into it that matched the holes on the MFC rack, then I used this as my new washer to be put inside the wooden wall. Now the MFC rack has to pull that 18" long washer through the wooden wall. It won't happen.

Also, this is just something I always do and you may want to think about it yourself. That is to mount the fuel can on the right hand side of the trailer AWAY from on coming traffic. It is just a safety thing. Leave that one there and use it for water, but in my opinion, fuel cans should have something between them and traffic if at all possible. But what the hell do I know.

You dont think youll need any extra support under the gas carrier? 5gal of gas weighs about 30-35lbs and the can itself is over 5lbs. Jus a thought.

Looks good. Ive been searching high and low in my area for either an M416, M100 or M101 Utility trailer, all the ones ive found on Craigslist and Ebay are no where near FLorida.
