Good point. I've been messing around with it. I'm sure I will slide it forward. Trying to figure out if I like the eye relief

That aimpoint is a red dot. His vortex is a 3x prism that actually has eye relief, and he wouldn't be able to use the back up sights through the scope anyways. Leave it where its comfortable for you. MandPdude,
Thanks. I thought I was on the right track. I checked it out again today and it's in the best spot for me. I measured my eye relief and it's pretty close to perfect. I'm going to my local range Monday to zero it and put it through its paces. We have steel man sized targets after 200 yards all the way out to 750 yards. |

Here is my wife's rifle. Just installed the new rail. Sporting a Vortex Spitfire 3X Prism Scope!

For the pvs-14 it would go behind the prisim. The general rule is if its visible by the human eye then it is too bright for the pvs-14 but you could try one of these on the front to filter the light. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MCWURM/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?tag=viglink20251-20 |

I did the same thing with the blackout was so dissapointed in the results I sold it and got a .45acp carbine for the subsonic work. The blackout was just punching little holes in them, hit them in the ear and it will work great though! |
