By the time I'm done I'll have 6 ARs built.....I just have a bad gut feeling about the election. Guess I'm a inspiring shit bird, yep I sold my barrel. I went back and forth and found that in reality I had no need or want to build another 556 ar, I just finished a M4, and had no need for another. What I need is a 300 blackout barrel for my predatobr, I had this conversation with mfingar. Unfortunately my request for a 300blkout was denied. So I sold my barrel and promptly put an order in with Larue for a lt104 in 34mm for my new Mark 6 coming in the mail. So if I am a shitbird for selling my barrel and giving Larue back the money that they gave me...so be it. Larue has been more the generous in all this, incredibly generous. Fact is I own a 556 tobr and Tar, and well as their 308 brothers. I am heavily invested in Marks company. My need for a 556 barrel was not there, and to be honest I have never won anything, didn't expect to this time. So after going back and forth, I decided that because I didn't have a need, I would sell it to someone who did, spreading the awesomeness that is Larue, and then turn around and reward their generosity by putting the money back into their company. Well since there are people replying in this thread. I am a complete AR noob, and building my first upper. I have figured that I need a carbine length gas tube, but what LT gas block do I need, 0.75" or 0.625"? I have the 16" stealth barrel.
ETA: does anyone know if the gas tube from LT comes with the pin? |

I only wanted to get the impacts on paper with this surplus ammo after mounting the scope. I wish I had more of this Malaysian now. I had planned to test group sizes with 69 grain Nosler loads but this actually is a more accurate round for this barrel. I will have to work up a different recipe with the Noslers for this barrel or go to a 55 grain load. |

Never have built or owned a true precision gun though, and seeing people posting groups in this thread just makes the waiting that much harder. I want to get this damn rifle built and go shoot some groups of my own!! I got replied to the "congratulations" PM on 8/12. I received my barrel on 9/27. The barrel showed up on my orders on LT's website, so maybe you can verify it's still pending there. Just have to be patient, they're giving a lot of them away and I'm sure they're selling like hotcakes at the sale price. |

I won the other day. In no rush since since anything free is worth saving up for. I'm just trying to decide what else to buy. I have a lower that was in need of a project. I'm thinking I'm going to buy stripped Stealth upper and the rail system and go from there.

A bad day at the range is better than a good day at work

Thank you very much for this. Returned from a business trip and my barrel was waiting. Along with a new hat and Dillo dust. And the fact that I had the M4 feedramps cut and there was no shipping charge. Amazing! Will be ordering the parts I need from Larue to complete this build. Can't say thank you enough.

You can post the SAME number more than once, if that number is selected you only win once. If you post more than one number you will be dq'd. |
