Wifey gave me the ok. Couple questions for the experts. Never done a purchase of a silencer online. Need to find class 3 dealer that does transfers, correct? Does LT then send the can to them, then I do my paper work at that dealer? What else do I need to do? Thanks guys! Very excited to own a LT Silencer! Will need to sell off a SF Brake or two. :) |

Then the dealer will either fill out your paper work, and send it in, or mine just fills it out sends it to me, I sign and send it off using a trust. If you're not using a trust then you need to get your CLEO to sign off, get some passport photos and get your fingerprints taken, then send all that with the Form 4. Oh and you have to pay the govt a $200 tax stamp. |

You don't have to keep justifying your purchases out of the supressor deals thread to me. I don't know your wife. I'm not worried about the weight of the can being similar to another can that sold cheaper. Comparing ounces to dollars isn't really a concern for me. That's not really a metric in any part of the gun industry, it's not car racing or backpacking. Different designs for different applications. I saw what it weighed before I ordered it. If I was on the lookout for a lightweight can for an ultralight .300 blackout build, I wouldn't have bought it, or a specwar. |

Without any specs on its suppression abilities.....looks like you're doing a good job of convincing yourself you got a deal. Or do you like it because of the way it looks? I know it won't be any quieter than the Specwar, I'll leave it at that Lol. Quote me one thing I either directly said or implied that I got a deal. I said that I'm comfortable with the purchase price given that the price point is around an average .308 suppressor and I expect Larue to bring a product to the market to at least that level. That is the only level it will have to perform to for me to be happy with the money I paid. You have taken it upon yourself to tell me twice that purchases you made are a better deal. On your own. For someone who doesn't know the specs, just like me, I don't think you have any base to make that assumption. I acknowledged I took a gamble on an unknown. Why do you think you know the absolute result? What facts do you know that no one else does? The question in red just makes you look like a dick. Yes, you are the mightiest all knowing suppressor operator who chooses function over form because you operate operationally. I must be the lowly uninformed vain suppressor buyer for taking a shot on a new product. Do you remember the initial reports on that omega you bought? Weren't too hot. Lots of people on here were questioning their decision. Turned out to a be pretty good one I guess. Not even to that point with the Larue yet. It's been on the market for a less than a day and you're in here trying to convince people that your toys are better than theirs. Go enjoy your toys. They are both quality suppressors. Shut the fuck up with all the negativity for no reason. It's not serving any purpose other than appeasing yourself in your decisions and toys. I don't care if it's queiter than the specwar. I know a specwar isn't as light as a titanium Gemtech. So fucking what? Guess I'll leave it at that. |

This is an official announcement thread from the manufacturer. Let's not turn this into a penis/can measuring thread. This is for the excitement and agony of waiting on a new product, tech and order support and pestering ML and MF for more info about the TranQ. I could care less what other can you can get for what price. Do us all a favor and buy a TranQuilo and do actual product comparisons against the TranQuilo with all those other cans you own.

I think the greatest thing about this suppressor is the fact that it is designed to run on a Larue rifle. For years there were issues with this or that can, speculation about what spring/buffer combo to use and all that garbage. People now have an iron clad guarantee that they can buy a suppressor and not worry about whether it will run on their OBR system. That alone makes this can worth WHATEVER the price is.
Good job Larue! Looking forward to seeing it on a 14.5" TOBR. |

I just wonder how long it will be before they ship to the ffl to begin the paperwork.

At 23oz I would say it compares directly to the Specwar 762 at 24 oz. I picked up one of those for $550 with a Trifecta Brake from Capital Armory. There's no doubt you can get similar quality suppressors for cheaper. However it's a LaRue suppressor. People will pay more for the name because ML has done a great job at putting out extremely high quality products and backing them great warranties and CS. Another example is his rifles. You can built a sub MOA rifle for a lot cheaper than a LaRue rifle but at the end of the day you don't have a LaRue. Just my .02. I hate it when there's too many quite blocks. |

The Specwar is a great suppressor that is built like a tank. But for the most part you won't find very many of them on precision rigs. Two different purpose built cans. I'm sure their quality is similar though. I would love the TranQuilo for my 7.62 tOBR (once I get one) but it'll kill me to pay more knowing that I could have got one at $700. Which I also think is an amazing price point. I'd probably even buy one if I didn't have to pay my transfer fee and $200 tax. |

I shot long guns lefthanded. Currently have a switchblock and two IA uppers. They help with reduction to the BC key and I notice that benefit, not anything they can do about pressure coming back the bore. Time for a new suppressor. |

Well, the reason you don't see the Specwar on many precision rifles is it's weight, which is only an ounce heavier than the Larue. I'm curious to see what the reviews on the Larue can are. But without real world experience I can't say if $700 is an amazing price point or not. If it performs no better than the Specwar then I'd say it isn't, if somehow this new tech makes it perform a lot better, then yes maybe $700 is a bargain. The things I want to know are: 1. Some sound ratings 2. Minimum barrel lengths I get most of the early adopters are buying for no more reason that it's a Larue and were surprised it didn't cost $1000+ |

If it performs no better than the Specwar then I'd say it isn't, if somehow this new tech makes it perform a lot better, then yes maybe $700 is a bargain. The things I want to know are: 1. Some sound ratings 2. Minimum barrel lengths I get most of the early adopters are buying for no more reason that it's a Larue and were surprised it didn't cost $1000+ I haven't ever seen a Larue product that was underwhelming. Nor have I seen one that was average. They make one grade: The best, or at least top tier. This suppressor is going to be the same way. I'm not sure I really care about sound suppression. They have already stated it reduces sound to hearing safe levels. That's good enough. What really matters is POI repeatability and the fact that it will run on their rifles. Since it is a 308 suppressor and it is compatible on their rifles then it should work on a 14.5" barrel. Most of us learned a long time ago to jump when there is "introductory pricing" |

One on order. Going to run on my 12.5" 6.8 SBR. I wish I had a decibel meter. Once it arrives after all the ATF crapola I like to compare it to my Saker 7.62. Maybe one of the members at my range will hook me up.

Just my .02. there is a little more tech in this can than the specwar, more tech equals a higher price, mainly around getting the gas out of the front rather than in the shooters face Yeah I'm sure there is. It would have to run on my PWS MK107. Massive pressure. |

WTH!
Wifey gave me the "go-go-go" for this suppressor, told her its a great deal for $750 wirh the mount, plus the tax stamp plus local, (assumption was like $30 like normal transfers). My first "Online" purchase. Called all around, most places that I called said no suppressor transfers. Found one that wants $100, plus they want LT to contact them about the transfer for the paperwork. Was hoping to get this before snow season to run a comparison of my new 762SF SOCOM RC and TranQuilo M308. But I had no idea the transfer costs would be so high locally. |

I know all about mil-spec sound testing, I was referring to testing for an 8.5" 300 loudenboomer and other off-the-wall stuff guys are asking if it's rated for. |

Have the SBR handy if you have the can. |
