As stated, I received this email today
Due to new state restrictions we are unable to honor the order placed for 10
round magazines. The items have been removed from your order.
Sincerely,
Melissa Spittle
Attached is Sales Order # V##### from Alexander Industries, Inc.
However, the NY Safe Act 10 round mag restriction doesn't take effect until 4/15/2013 and even THEN we are allowed to possess them, just not transfer them to another NY resident or load them with over 7 rounds unless on a shooting range.
I responded and attached the link to the FAQ
http://www.governor.ny.gov/2013/gun-reforms-faq as well as the 2 pertinent parts of the FAQ involving the law in question;
Q: Going forward, what magazines can I buy?
A: As of April 15, 2013, only magazines that can contain 7 rounds or less will be sold in New York, including permanently modified magazines.
Q: How many rounds can I put in my magazine today?
A: Ten. Starting on April 15, 2013, you are limited to putting in seven rounds, unless you are at an incorporated firing range or competition recognized by the National Rifle Association or International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association, in which case the limit is ten.
Hopefully someone sees this and releases my order since even Midway USA and 44mag.com are allowing these sales to go through.
Keep in mind this order was placed before NYSAFE was even signed into law.
I know it's your business but be informed before burning bridges.
