My order is in...Deal is what it is...that shipping charge is a little bogus...
When my 260 TOBR arrives it will have a case waiting for it at least. |

I'm glad I held off an extra day and they ended the sale or there is no way I'd be continuing on the list. I'm in but I really hope for some mounts or more rifles next quarter. |

I'm actually pretty stoked, as I've been needing a case. I get 2 a hard and a soft. The shipping does seem a little high, but its not exactly a small item either.
Where's a good place to get foam for the pelican to cut for a rifle? |

My 1750 is a little too snug for some of my rifles to ride double without a decent buffer. I have several Boyt double cases that actually have a bit more length and height which I usually use for two AR style rifles. |

Q1-2017 is for winners!
Mr. Larue- Happy Thanksgiving to you, your family, and all the folks that make Larue Tactical great! Thank you for all that you have done for us here on ARFCOM this year. We can be a little self-centered because the BRD has infected our brains but this place without LT would not be nearly as cool! |
Well I'm off the list, rather spend $400 on actual gun parts or ammo. Plus still waiting on Q1 which will exhaust funds. Sad I can't complete an AR with LT products. Good luck to those waiting on better future offerings, hope your diligence pays of.
I could use a mulligan on this one I just can't talk myself into it. I thought about buying it and selling it to stay on the list or just buying it to stay on the list but my luck buildar will end.
Just not real sure what I'm gonna do. Don't really NEED a case right now. It'd be nice to have but not really what I need to spend the money on.
How long do we have to buy, the end of the weekend?
Must purchase by the 27th
If you seek to do battle with me this day, you will receive the best that I am capable of giving. It may not be enough, but it will be everything I have to give, and it will be impressive.

I want to stay in but the case is something I will never ever use.
Dang, not sure how I want to go about this. |

Are the shipping charges correct? It seems absurd to pay $48 to ship this thing USPS sure post.

The shipping is correct because it is an oversized item. It is the same price for usps and ups.

As I recall, my other hard case combo from LaRue shipped in two boxes. The Storm case was shipped with a full set of foam in the OEM box and the soft case arrived in a second box (it wasn't inside the Storm). That could explain the shipping - not to mention the Pelican case is 53" in length. I'll be the first to admit Amazon Prime has spoiled me.

I already ordered mine, but it would be a super bonus if the pelican came with foam. this gives me so many more options as to how to use it and would explain why it costs 48 to ship. so far no shipping notice on mine but I'm sure some guys will be reporting in shortly with what they received. maybe it comes packed full of dillo dust? pete |

Just ordered mine.
Something else to note is the tag on my other LaRue soft case says "Made in America for LaRue Tactical" (by WRB)... another Texas company - not some cheap import. For comparison, here's another "Made in America" precision rifle case of comparable size/features. It looks like AG charges $39 to ship it UPS Ground. Just food for thought. |

Looks good. Was like 25 or 30. It's more solid and easier to cut (sharp 9 or 10" kitchen knife) than the Pelican foam, which is so flimsy you really need a wire foam cutter. |

ARFCOM Call Sign: Trajectory
Team Ranstad - The Fantastic Bastards |
Made the call. I'm out. Just not tempting enough to spend the money and then effort to resell and ship. I just have 0 use for a case like that.
Plus the fact that it's the holidays AND I'm shelling out a grand next week to replace my living room windows that a damn deer decided to jump through earlier this month... I'm gonna enjoy the hell outta my exclusive BuildAR 300blk SBR in Reardon oxide that I was able to (mostly) build through the BuildAR program!! But sadly that'll be the only one I build with it. Enjoy yall! |
Life is hard. If you act stupid it's even harder.
Thanks mark for doing the buildar I am very grateful for what you made available to us but I am out I hope the rest of the list gets some awesome stuff next year.
This was really tough, I want to stay on the list, but this case is unusable for me (it wont fit in my vehicle and I don't need a hard case.)
Good luck everyone, it's been a pleasure. (Still waiting on Q1, but am strongly considering cancelling my $800+ order now.) |
I'm trying to will myself to buy this in order to move forward as a BuildAR. Question for those that have received theirs already or know about them. Does the soft case make a nice shooting mat?
Order placed
Thanks Mark. Can't wait to see the M.O.A.B. case. |
Although it could be a shooting mat it is primarily a soft case,I don't think anyone has theirs.although there are certanly guys with the smaller Moab case.
I'm guessing there will be a bunch of these on the EE soon.the question really is do you want to see what's coming next quarter? The price of admission is high this quarter, but I'm guessing next quarter will make up for it. Pete |

However I was just thinking, if you're working to build a rifle, each quarter is at least $400 so far and might be more depending on your expectations. For me personally: 1st quarter was 800, second was 400, third was 400, now fourth would be 450, totaling $2,050 If I wait for the next quarter, that puts me at least $2,450 unless I can sell the gift card or case. (plus shipping and hassle.) I can just buy a complete rifle for that. Edit: I don't believe you'll find a buyer for the case at $450, so you'd lose money on this quarter's offer just to stay in the game. |

Mark is over run with orders and trying to get shit to states who are going to be fucked at the beginning of the next fiscal year. The previous deals he's offered have been outstanding. With Christmas around the corner I bet there is something neat in this shipment or 2Q1 is fucking amazing, just as the rest were. Even if I'm wrong and and 75% of the build AR deals kick ass, i'm willing to risk the bet that all of them will. Regardless I'm actually in need of some cases so its a win for me. Just don't doubt for a second that the Build AR is a special deal. He's never going to be able to appease everyone without loosing his ass. You hang on in hopes that the guy who gives away much more than 99.9% of us have ever bought. Knowing you'll probably get first in line for cool shit. The stuff you do get will be top notch. He will never appease 100% of us, and thats fine. Mark, thank you.. I truly appreciate the opportunity. I hope you and yours had a blessed Thanksgiving. |

I have one of the smaller ones. I think you could use it as a shooting mat, but I personally wouldn't.
I can sympathize with those who are dropping out - it's a lot of shekels for a rifle case. I rarely use the hard Storm case part of my other combo. If I'm just going to the range, I only use the inner soft case. Not to mention you can get a 1750 for under $200 on Amazon Prime right now. I'm staying in though... betting on the come. |

I think this quarter is probably very similar to what we called a "weed-out class" in engineering school. |

Unfortunately I'm unable to continue with this.
1) the case won't fit in my trunk, 2) Stupid California, even if 2017 brings 308 lowers I won't be able to get them. 3) I have no need for a big case. I hope the BuildAR program continues, with good things to come. So I can kick myself later for not going through with it. |
