|
Scorpion EVO is on the way to the shop.
We already have ideas for three products, possibly four. |
|
Got two parts designed today, and should have at least two more by the evening if everything goes well. With any luck we can knock out a prototype or two this week to make sure it is all looking good.

not to sure if you follow the cz scorpion forms but from what alot of people say a hand guard with no side rails or with one of the new type that let you add them would be a good seller a lot of people say the standard rails chew up there hands. I for one am not one of the sissy's that say that lol but I dont do the tacticool thing so smooth sides would be nice. Not to mention it would be one more step closer to 922r compliant.
Mag plates and followers and hand grip would be huge for the same 922r things |

Mag plates and followers and hand grip would be huge for the same 922r things View Quote We have safeties, a muzzle extension, a charging handle, and a stock designed. I would like to do a forend, but that involves a pretty serious investment in tooling, so we will launch the other stuff first and see how it goes. Same thing with a grip- serious investment in a mold, and there is no real way to adapt an existing grip to the gun due to the design of the mounting point. We will definitely keep both in mind, however... Looks like at least one company is going to be doing semiauto trigger groups, so that would get the 922r where it needs to be. - 3 for trigger group, stock, charging handle, and muzzle = 6 that are needed. |
|
The charging handle might not count towards 922r, but I'd still be in favor of an upgrade.

So still thinking of a charging handle upgrade? View Quote Yes but due to the design of the OEM charging handle it is a bit more complex to design than I was originally hoping. I think I have the problem solved (figured it out last night in point of fact) and I am going to work on it a bit more this weekend. Sven Manticore Arms |

Excellent news! I like CZ' s, it's just too small and sharp for me. Not saying I would want a round HK copy as that would look little strange on the angular CZ. With e r way I'm excited to see what you come up with!

Not too much longer, mind, but I find the stock charging handle slightly undersized. |

Maybe also a redesigned grip? One with storage so we can keep a miniature copy of a tax stamp in?

Justifying the cost of the mold with so few guns on the market at this point- not so easy quite yet. But yes, I agree the grip can be improved and we have already looked into it. |
|
Think I'm going to have to order some Manticore Tavor stuff this year just for that.

So now if I win the lottery next week, will you guys work with rat works again and make me a integrally suppressed handguard/barrel/front end for my EVO? Seeing how the handguard fits over the barrel this could be doable.....
|
|
I'd buy a different grip, specifically one with storage. Depending on how difficult it is to take off the handguard I'd send it in for a modular one or if it is easy then I'd buy one and do it at home.
|
|
Definitely interested in a different grip. Something like the Magpul MIAD. Don't worry about storage, would put anything in there anyway.
|
|
|
Would love a more vertical grip with storage. Would still buy one without storage though.

Roger that. We are very aware of an interest in a more vertical grip, and looking into it. Sven View Quote Not only more vertical, but also one that won't allow the web of the hand to ride as high up. That would prevent the trigger finger from hitting the factory safety. But of course, then you wouldn't sell as many aftermarket safeties, would you? |
|
Not more vertical for me, just man sized. Be slick if you could make inserts for the girly handed as well as the larger handed folks like me.

I agree that a grip that is size adjustable is cool, but it does cost more to make (and thus higher MSRP) I will see what we can do, and I am certainly taking all the feedback into account as we work on the design. I think with a product like this there maybe a little elasticity. If it's really easy to make and cheap, others will fast follow. Innovation will rule IMHO. |

Nice to have someone understand not just form the consumer end, but from the product development end! Yeah, I have some ideas how to make it work for big and small hands, and I am looking into it right now. Just takes time to make a more complex product like that than a simple grip. |

Hi guys! Can anyone advise or give links who can make stainless custom barrel for Scorpion vz61? Sorry if I made a mistake in the topic.

Just posted in another thread, we have to change the design from the detent notches to one with wrench flats (you can't torque it down properly with detent notches and it can work itself loose - something we were testing and hence why it isn't out yet) About 8-10 weeks out due to our very full production que, but it is coming. |

You can actually just remove the spring altogether when using the adapter as it no longer serves a purpose. |

We also are working diligently on the stock design (or rather, multiple stock designs)

if you find out how to get them to smile can you send me the instructions.
I dont think the machining gods have ever even grinned our way lol |

I'd certainly be interested in the charging handle (and the three lug too) as the factory charging handle is way too small. Shape isn't a big deal as long as it's bigger.

As for a replacement grip, would it be possible to just make a polymer replacement piece that allows us to put any standard AR15 pistol grip in place?
