I think key thing to remember is that only 39% of voters came out last election. And they're pushing through the exact same bills they're pushing through in 2018. Matter of fact comparing to the 2018 bill and the current 2024 bill, I don't think anything really changed. It's word-for-word the exact same bill that last time failed in the Senate but passed the house. It failed the senate only because 2 moderate dems were unsure of voting on it because they say they don't want to lose their seats. They got re-elected this cycle, if I'm correct, and now they're pushing it all the way through citing they feel their district is blue enough (remember only 39% total voter turn out). Not sure what the turnout was for those districts could be higher but overall only 39% of our voters decided that they don't care or don't know.

I see some folks citing abortion as being a topic that pushed this. It is a topic of concerns on exit polls but it only bumped the edge slightly. Had 80-90% of voters came out, I would feel more comfortable in saying if things are legit or not. The only reason we are blue, I feel, is because Bloomberg and Soros both dumped money into the state to get people to vote on party side. For a few million dollars, he bought the government.

VCDL is saying they're going to send out postcards via mail from gunshows. It sounds like the first batch of bills are heading to the governor to sign. Do you know if we can obtain the postcards any other way?

I got the email today too. It seems like VCDL tried to send it out Friday but I never got it. It's good to hear that still 4,000 people sent an email. That's great.

The one thing I wanted to point out is that I think the bills are introduced in order. So bill 1, 2, etc. Given the low number on the bills that would mean it was their TOP priority to get this passed. Please remember that the next election cycle and be sure to tell your friends. Only 39% of us came out last election and look what it did.

I contacted the Governor when this all started and again today.

Emailed previously and also today, we need to stop these bills.
