looking for some local suggestions on places to go while we're in St. Simons this summer. We were at Tybee last year and my wife and kids loved Bubba Gumbos, on the water dining. My wife is also a seafood connoisseur and wants to buy fresh stuff to cook while we're there. Any fish/seafood markets you suggest over anything else?

Also curious for the best kid-friendly restaurants and things to do. I've already looked into mini golf but the kids are 5 and 8 so real crazy adventures are off the table.

We really enjoyed Brogen's North last summer. We used to like to go to The Wharf on Jekyll Island but it's gone to crap.

I second Crab Daddy's.

Don't forget Jekyll island is now $10 a day to visit. I was just at St. Simons . I second Iguanas as a solid meal option
