I want to get a .32 acp semi auto olypic gun but they have their magazines that are outside of the pistol grip. Technically its illegal in NY as an assault pistol. Is there a work around for this?

No work around. Perhaps the most “sporting purpose” handgun you can get, as you said used in world competition and the Olympics, and illegal in NY.
BTW it is a 32 S&W long revolver cartridge not ACP |
