Came here to see what people thought about this and was surprised to see no one even talking about it.

A group of roughly two dozen people clad in apparent Nazi gear and symbolism marched in downtown Nashville near the Capitol Saturday.

Metro Nashville Police were initially "monitoring some type of demonstration," but later said it hadn't appeared to materialize.

A reporter for the Tennessean didn't see anything after arriving on the scene.

Videos and photos of the demonstration quickly began circulating online.

If one of the more progressive democrats (a California transplant) in the state legislature hadn't by coincidence been there to get video of the group and post it online, would anybody have even noticed them?

ETA:  Is 'flash nazis' the new 'flash mob'?

Yeah man. I'm sure none of the other dozens of videos, including them walking down Broadway, would have surfaced lmao. It's definitely the Dems fault that we know about it!

Odd that the newspaper that sent a reporter out and couldn't find them, is on Broadway.

Wouldn't a group like that be trying to get exposure in the news (use the news media for free publicity), instead of playing hide and seek with reporters?

If reporters were there, they would have been identified.
And it is very awkward when the interns and staffers of all the democrat reps turn out to be nazis.

Yep.  Too dangerous to give the reporters a chance to get close to them, but a smallish group marching quickly through tourist areas such as the Bicentennial mall, the side of the Capitol facing the plaza, 1st avenue, and then Broad, would likely be seen by a few people who would pull up the camera function on their phones.  Toss a democrat into the mix to 'coincidentally' encounter the group when he is leaving a meeting where he had been speaking about the problem of racism in Tennessee, so that he could get video and post it to social media with his narrative to keep things moving in the right direction, then you just need someone other than the group everyone is focusing on to provide the news media with an identity for that group - which would apparently work out to be democrat rep Behn with all the intel and apparently keeping a closer watch on the group than Metro police (again, it is quite handy to get the planned march route in advance).

ETA:  Looks like they started from the Bicentennial Mall, went to the Capitol building and posed for a bit overlooking the Legislative Plaza, then marched over to the Nashville Public Square/Courthouse and down 1st Avenue to Broad.  Anybody see any other details that would fill in the gaps of that route or place them somewhere before they appeared at the Bicentennial Mall or after they left Broad?  Even without a planned route being provided to Nashville police and local reporters, that's an impressive amount of ground to cover while wearing red shirts and waving flags, and still not run into police or reporters.

ETA2:  Then again, looking at the map and taking some measurements, they probably marched less than a mile and a half in total, with a bit of zigzagging built into the route.  With some decent coordination between them and their transportation for picking them up, and keeping a decent pace while moving, they likely boosted their odds of being spotted by tourists (who would be taking pictures of what they saw, anyway) while minimizing their odds of reporters or police catching up to them.

“Real” Reporters would be expected to ask questions or investigate the subject matter.  This was a photo op to be a talking point for democrats.
