My son is big into theater and it's been his dream to go to NYC to Broadway. He is 35 and high functioning autistic. Usually I would go with him but in order for him to go -I would need to do his job for him. (He delivers the mail). He is not street wise and has no situational awareness.
I am trying to find a tour that he can join that can take him to Broadway, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building etc.
If any of you have any suggestions I would appreciate them.

I will ask around but I am not sure if such a thing exists.

Does he attached any type of school or church or social gathering function?  I would say the best bet would be to find someone on your end who he is comfortable with and is willing to take him on the trip.  It may mean you need to pay for that person's trip and I am unsure of the financial situation, but from my standpoint would be best option.

I live in the boroughs, I usually won't even let my wife go to Manhattan with my 11 year old alone.

For what it's worth I work in Manhattan usually 3-5 days a week depending on my project schedules.
