Love it, hate it or indifferent it's here. Today was the grand opening of the first In-n-Out in Idaho and it's in the WORST POSSIBLE INTERSECTION in all of Idaho.
Reports are saying people camped out overnight and the drive-though was 8 hours long! https://www.ktvb.com/article/news/local/local-in-n-out-sit-n-wait/277-a6915cf3-c0f2-467d-a115-445213bc1335 Found the story, it's being reported by the Idaho Republican Party in their social media accounts. Here are some pictures Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I drove by around 1130 and there was a small gaggle of protestors standing on the grass with flags and signs, but by the time I came back around noon it looked like they were gone.

Israel vs Hamas is a trick question. They both suck.
Is should be considered treason to give away any of our wealth to any foreign nation. |

Unfortunately, this event is a not a good sign for Idaho.
Fat people waiting absurd times for disgusting unhealthy food shows a lack of priorities, lack of wisdom, and self indulgence. I would have more hope for our future in Idaho if people were waiting in line to run a 10K. That is the exact opposite. It would show discipline, sacrifice, and the willingness to endure hard things. The only way Idaho stays free is by being morally superior to the forces that want to destroy us. Eating 2500 calories at one sitting is disgusting and leads to morbid obesity. Morbid obesity is a symptom of a lazy, weak mind. Weak minds vote for socialists to give them free stuff. |

In & Out is great!
Had some last week in TX and again today on my way home in Spanish Fork. Whataburger was pretty good too, their grilled chicken sandwich is awesome. BTW: The Double-Double I had with fries today had around 1100 calories It's not health food, but it's darn good in moderation. Just like a Habit burger or Butter Burger from Culvers. |

Just go to Five Guys up the street for just as good if not better burger.
In-N-Out is just another example of the “Oh Shit It’s Something New Here And I Have To Cram Into It With Every One Else!” syndrome. Every time something opens here in the Valley, people stampede the new venue just like how people scrambled for land claims in the 19th century. I don’t know what it is other than a banal existance punctuated by novelty or impatience but it’s somehow against people’s prime directives to just wait a few weeks and then go after the latest and greatest opens up. It’s particularly annoying because compared to other places I’ve lived in this country, people here do shit all at the same time, thus making anything at certain times and certain parts of town hard to do. It’s not like In-n-Out is going anywhere, they could be the shittiest place known to man and sell “Animal Style” dogshit on a bun and their business will still be propped up by legions of Califugee who by the way “aren’t those kind of Californians.” Just wait when Scheels opens up. That place will be an absolute zoo drawing out every “sportsman” faux-hawk brah for miles. I will avoid it for months. |

View Quote Personally can't stand 5 Guys and I don't want to take out a loan to buy lunch. In-n-Out doesn't really "slow down" the drive though is going to be packed for all of eternity and yeah, you're right. I'm from California and I like In-n-Out. There's nothing I can say or do online to prove I'm "Idaho worthy" so I won't address that. I feel you thou, I get so frustrated when someone moves here and then starts doing shit like complaining to the HOA, refers to California as "home" or complains about something here like the Chinese food. I call them out every time I hear it. I'm actually headed there today for lunch. Plan is to arrive at 11 and hopefully I'll get my food and eat in store before 12. We'll see how it goes. |

It could be lines at In & Out or any new place coming into town. I'm sure there will be a line for Scheels when they open. In & Out makes a good burger. There were lines at the In & Outs I went to in Houston and Ft. Worth when I was in TX last week. There was a line yesterday at the In & Out in Spanish Fork in Utah on my way home. In & Out and Chik-Fil-A always have lines because they serve a good product at a reasonable price. But in TX, I think Whataburger makes a better grilled chicken sandwich. |

I was at the end of the line where it runs between the curb and the first roped barrier. From there to the door was only 15 minutes. The food took twice as long to get to me after the fact. I was there last night as well at 11pm(line was approx twice as long as it was the first time I went). Took 1 hour to get to the door, 30 minutes to get the food. |

They said people are making huge orders for their entire office and I saw a couple of guys carry out big boxes full of burgers. They said that one larger order can really jack up the wait. I was talking to a few of the workers and one of them said that only 3 people he's spoken to are from Idaho, everyone else is from California. Every single person working said they couldn't believe how friendly people here are and one of the workers said it makes him want to move here. I was feeling pretty good about all the strong conservative transplants from Idaho when I walked out to the parking lot and the 2 ladies that were leaving at the same time got into an SUV with 1A plates and a huge "REFUGEES WELCOME" sticker on it. As far as the employees - it’s actually like this(spoke to one of the managers): they brought in help from Texas and California for the next 6 weeks or so. Once things settle down, they’ll leave. In n Out hired 80 employees from Meridian and the surrounding area. |

At the end of the day, most of those things are out of your control. No amount of posting on this forum is not gonna change it. I’m 99% sure that everyone else here is quite away of it all too. That’s why for me, my belief is in Jesus Christ. I don’t fear or worry about the above like some others do. |

Went back again today on a day date with the wife while the kiddos were in school.
Got there at 11:10 and we had our food around 12:10. People were saying today, Friday the 22nd, was much busier than lunch yesterday. There were a ton of kids in line both High School as well as primary and middle but still it only took about an hour. |
