Idaho’s Firearm Industry Nondiscrimination (FIND) Act, S. 1291, was approved by the state Senate in a 28-7 vote and the bill now heads to the state’s House of Representatives for consideration. The NSSF-supported legislation would prohibit the state and municipalities from entering into contracts with corporate entities that hold discriminatory policies against the firearm industry. That would protect the Second Amendment rights of Idahoans by ensuring their tax dollars are not being used for contracts with corporate entities that funnel profits from those contracts into gun control initiatives. Corporate financial service providers, including Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup and Wells Fargo, refuse financial services to firearm businesses based on corporate policies. This bill would require any corporate entities to certify they don’t hold discriminatory policies against the firearm industry to do business with Idaho or its municipalities.
