I'd add Madera Canyon too.

They sell flat bread outside the Mission.  Not sure if it's every day, or weekends only?

Mission San Xavier del Bac

There's also the TITAN MISSILE MUSEUM

They can also take a road trip to Tombstone & Bisbee.

Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse is in a little western style village with shops to go through.

Or a Cowboy Cookout at Tunque Verde Ranch

It's just starting to warm up a little so go easy on the hiking if they're not acclimated to the area.  It's about the time of year for a tourist or two to die from exposure in southern Az on a "quick hike" and it's not even summer...

An hour scenic drive from Tucson: The Aspen Trail starting out from Marshal Gulch ( road dead ends at trail head after passing through the village of Summerhaven near the top of Catalina Scenic Highway) is a 4.5 mile loop with shade, views, potentially some running water for ambience (carry drinking water), access to other trails at around 8,000’ elevation.  Parking is poor on weekends.

Saguaro National Park has some easy trails. You can also drive or bicycle through the park.

They have found corpses with water left too, so study up.  Go early, hydrate prior, and make sure phones are charged.  Wear a hat, cover most skin, use sunscreen. Some areas have spotty comms. Much of Tucson is 2300ft above sea level.  If you are in the hills, even higher.  This may play a part in your day, it sure does if you are making corn bread.
