A friend is bringing her family down to Tucson. The kids are older teens. Any recommendations for good hikes near Tucson, especially older/ancient/historical sites with Indian history? And recommended restaurants? Her family loves flatbread, so great flat bread is a bonus.

They sell flat bread outside the Mission. Not sure if it's every day, or weekends only?

It's just starting to warm up a little so go easy on the hiking if they're not acclimated to the area. It's about the time of year for a tourist or two to die from exposure in southern Az on a "quick hike" and it's not even summer...

An hour scenic drive from Tucson: The Aspen Trail starting out from Marshal Gulch ( road dead ends at trail head after passing through the village of Summerhaven near the top of Catalina Scenic Highway) is a 4.5 mile loop with shade, views, potentially some running water for ambience (carry drinking water), access to other trails at around 8,000’ elevation. Saguaro National Park has some easy trails. You can also drive or bicycle through the park.
