Looking at heading down the week of July 4th. Wanted to hit a few distilleries, maybe mammoth cave? Take a tour of the one candy factory that makes bourbon balls?

Anything else I need to do down that way? Good places to eat?

Also, any good fireworks or cool ways to spend the 4th?

Thanks

Start at Evan Williams Distillery Experience in Louisville.

See if they're still selling their 23 year offering.

Not sure what you have planned or want but good tours at Buffalo Trace, Castle and Key, Four Roses, Woodford.

Maybe for a little change up, highly recommend you try to book a tour at a horse farm - Three Chimneys Stud has a great tour, full of equine history and up close.

Bardstown train lunch or dinner was cool. Of course boubony things to do there.

Absolutely do Mammoth Cave.

Have fun!

My wife and I went to Rebecca Ruth's Chocolates in Frankfort several years ago.  They do tours and make chocolate bourbon balls.  They claim to have been the first place to make them.

Makers Mark, Willett, and Heaven Hill in/near Bardstown are great.
Mammy's and Old Talbot Tavern in Bardstown used to have great food.
Dont forget KYGunco is also in Bardstown.
Woodford and Buffalo Trace are great near Versailles and Frankfort.

Three Chimneys is an excellent Horse Farm tour. The KY Horse Park near Lexington is also a good visit.

Bardstown hits the food/guns/bourbon trifecta.

I believe I did, but we went a few years ago so I don't remember positively.  The food was good and it was a good time.

Toyota in Georgetown kicks off a great fireworks show, plus the TMMK rich folks fire off a lotta big stuff from TN road trips.
