Looking at Aimpoint T2/Sig 4T or 5T/8T, Eotech EXPS3 etc for a carbine and wanted to ask where might be the best place to encounter these optics and actually physically check them out? A plus would be some decent LPVO’s to check out too, but I know beggars can’t be choosers.
Any recommendations here guys? This will be going on and 11.5 suppressed and I’m having hard time deciding on forum posts alone. Having an even harder time finding such optics for sale anywhere in GA for that matter. Thanks for any help with this.

Ok, well that’s a start. I appreciate the reply Sir. I would not have known. The most difficult task in the world is to find any decent kit in the state of GA, save for the occasional exception here and there.

Just gonna add to the previous 2 gun place to see, feel, touch and shoot various examples of what you’ve asked about.

Currently have a Giessle scope-very clear, stout & heavy LPVO. Primary CWAR & 2gun rifle.
I just added a Vortex Micro3x behind a Aimpoint H2 1moa dot. I really like that for its expected use…shooting dogs . 😉 Only issue is ME learning to use the tall mounts & holds at ranges.

Also hit up a gun show to ALL the various ones…then bring enough beanie babys for trade.😉

Try Autrey's over in Fayetteville.
Mike is the new owner and is knowledgeable on optics.

But if you're down for a drive then Georgia Firing Line in Marietta probably has one of the best selection of optics in the ATL area without having to go further north.
Very knowledgeable staff as well.

I would go with a LPVO red dots are for pistols. think of it as a restrictor plate for the rifle.

Seriously, your short barrel is still good to 500 yards if you can see the target.

I have hit a IPSC target at 800yds with a 1-8. not as easy as a 14 power but doable.
the Aimpoints are just as expensive as a LPVO and with a good 3x they cost more.
Come out to Rifle Ranch on the 2nd Saturday of the month and I'll show you how to maximize the LPVO

What's the intent?  If you want NV capability, your only real options are the EXPS 3-0 or the Aimpoint T2/M5.

Anything else, I'd get a good LPVO with a red-dot bright reticle, like the Razor 1-6, NX8 1-8, ATACR 1-8, PLxC 1-8, etc..

Or a TA33.

I know the XPS2 doesn’t have the “NV” setting, but I have 2 that work fine under NODs on the lower settings.

Try it when there's low/very little ambient illum out. Even my T2 struggles.

The E/XPS 3 series is the only sight I've seen that doesn't wash out the image due to reticle brightness in low ambient light environments.
