Hey VAHTF, new guy here.

First things first, yes, I'm a fed. Army, recently arrived to NOVA.

That said, I'm looking into building an 80% AR lower. As far as I can tell, it's legal in VA. Am I missing any laws?

Assuming I'm not, is there anyone in the Mt. Vernon area that would like to help a noob figure this out? Bonus points if you have tools/jig; I'm willing to rent them. I've done a lot of reading on it but don't want to throw several hundred dollars at tools to figure out what I need.

Obviously I'll provide libations.
