I'm guessing this has been done but I'm trying to do my due diligence.

Going to be spending 3 nights in New Orleans with the family including 4 kids.

I've been there alone for work so I haven't done anything fun besides eating.  I'm trying to remember who had the best oysters, any ideas?

We'll probably stay somewhere like the Hilton New Orleans Riverside or around there unless you all have better ideas.

Definitely want to do WWII museum, Audubon Insectarium and Aquarium, Cafe Du Monde.

No interest in drinking at all, but wife has never been and wants to explore.

I plan on carrying as much as possible and hopefully not being out at night.

What all do you suggest?  Any recommendations and/or advice? Any tours that are good for families?

Thanks!

All I can add in the kid friendly arena would be the Audubon Zoo uptown, or, depending on interests, the New Orleans Museum of Art and the botanical gardens in City Park---but really, if it's only 3 days the WWII musuem and the insectarium should eat up most of your time.   Do note that the insectarium is in a federal building, so you won't be allowed in armed.

Just booked!

I remember liking Acme, Dragos and Mulates.

Any other places to check out?

I've been talking up the charbroiled oysters to my wife forever.

I don't eat shellfish, but folks who do tell me Felix's is better than Acme.
