I would like to have the front strap checkered and wanted to know if there were any options in MD or VA somewhat close to DC.

I would rather not have to ship.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Not sure if he will do checkering or not but he has done a good bit of 1911 work for me in the past. He is a good gunsmith and likewise always busy.
