No age limit to my knowledge as we've had 5-6 year olds at previous shoots. |
|
No age limit on this shoot. |

I'll probably be there on Sunday, with a friend or two. What stuff should I bring, besides guns, ammunition, and pumpkins? Food, water, etc.?
|
|
Hi Scrin, Bring yourself, firearms, ammo, and anything non-steel, non-glass to shoot. Bring food and drinks too. Also, drinks will be available for purchase there at the range for $1.00/12oz can. Writer |

Looks like it will be a fun time Peter. Thanks again for setting it up. Is there a size limit on the Pumpkins................i.e. if they are filled with a certain compound mixture....
|
|
May have to make a trip from Fortlauderdale. Any safe hotels around?
|
|
Yes, there are a few in Arcadia, about 20 miles from the shoot. |
|
|
No age limits for shooters. Just have to sign the standard range waiver prior to shooting. No sweat. |

We are camping out nearby, as well. jj |

JJ's organizing a camping deal over at Manatee State Park. IM him for details. If you're into hotels, there's a Comfort Suites off of Exit 213 (University Parkway) on I-75. There's also a Holiday Inn and a Fairfield Inn. There's also a Day's Inn off of Exit 220 of I-75 and that puts you closer to the range than the ones on Exit 213. There's also an Econo Lodge there at Exit 220 as well. Writer |

Will the CamelBack hold or be filled with Scotch?
I'm tryin' to decide If I want to shoot for Second Place, since I don't play golf. (Not too bloody cocky, is he?) I wanna go. I've already started the begging and grovelling with "She Who Must Be Obeyed." The ARs & Enfield need some exercise. |

Camp info
Go to this website. Search Manatee State Park in Florida, Click on the map info and click on the bottom right symbols. Try to book campsites around 15-16-17-18 or 47-45-14-43. To keep us in the same general area. Any questions, please IM me. jj ETA: page 4 ownage |

Geezus boy... that link made my eye twitch.
I'll just drive out there and report back. |

You'll have to provide your own Scotch, however, it'll hold a liter of it so you'll be in good shape for the next hockey game! I'm bringing my Enfield as well. Wonder if its possible to silence an Enfield. An Enfield with a Gemtech. That might be cool. Writer |

Well I just reserved site 13. Thanks jj for the link.

I have reserved a site next to another camper/shooter/chef.(unfortunately also permabanned)
So we have some options for the group. Each site has camping for 8 and parking for 2 vehicles....so plan accordingly. jj |

Getting closer to Nov 4th. Just got 1000 rounds for the AK. Look forward to meeting everyone on the 4th.

It's going to be a good time. Camping the night before looks like it'll be good fun as well! Thanks JJ for setting this up.

FWIW.....campers, bring firewood. jj |
|
|

Well, here around my house I could scrounge some. My neighbor runs some quarries and could probably get more. I do not own a pickup, so it is tough. They said at the campground that they have wood for sale....... |

In. Will come by campsite later that evening after coming from the range.

FYI....for all the campers. I hear that the crappie(specks) are bitin' pretty good at Lake Manatee on minnows and slow trolled bettle spins.

Just a few things regarding this weekend:
1. Remember that the time changes Saturday night so you get an extra hour of sleep. If you forget, you'll show up an hour early when you could've been sleeping or grabbing breakfast. 2. There's a place you can rent kayak's and canoes over by the state park called the Lake Manatee Fish Camp. There's also other places you can go nearby to rent. Cost is about $20-35 for a day depending on number of people, etc. Fishing is supposed to be good on the lake there too. 3. There's a pretty decent winery closeby called the Rosa Fiorelli winery. There's a free wine tasting on Saturday and Sunday that is really good and its only about a mile south of SR64 and just west of Manatee State Park. 4. Tannerite will be available at the range for $10/bottle. Yes, we'll have a pumpkin or two for it. Just have to be 75 yards away to use the stuff. 5. It doesn't look like T.S. Noel will be an issue for the weekend and the weather should be pretty clear and in the 60's at night. Should be good all around. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Writer |
