Prayers sent that the Lord comfort ETH and his family. I've only talked to Wayne a couple of times at the farm, but it was enough to know he was a top shelf guy. It always hurts to see someone suffer who has given so much. We'll just pray for the best possible outcome with The Big Plan.

I haven't had the chance to meet Wayne, but he left a great impression on my husband. The outpouring of kind words, thoughts, and prayers coming from mulitple threads on this board, speak volumes for his character. Our thoughts and well wishes are with him, his family, and his friends during this rough time.

Very nice touch DP.. Prayers sent with all the rest. Wayne is very considerate and a great friend. He was one of the few who spoke with me recently after my twin sister passed away from pacreatic cancer July 24th at the age of 39 after only 3 months being diagnosed. He is a true friend. |

TRG posted in the other thread that the "no brain activity" was based on first responder "field tests" (for lack of a better term), and not an EEG (which is planned for later).

My heart hit the floor when I read about Waynes heart attack...thoughts and prayers sent to Wayne and his family as this is truly sad news.
So much has been said already but I'd also like to thank those of you who live close to Plano that are able to visit Wayne in the hospital and convey our thoughts and prayers to him firsthand from the rest of us...THANK YOU! |

I am going to try to post something here without crying like a baby.
Last night at the hospital was one of the hardest things I have ever endured in my life. ETH has always been a friend. He has always been as warm and as loving as a spring day after a long winter. He made me feel happy and content just by being there and when he started talking...and never stopped...it was pure joy. Last night I walked into his room and saw Barabara sitting by his bed and suddenly felt that we may never have that again. Then I met his brother Clyde . Nobody ever told me there were two ETH's. His voice sounds just like wayne's , he talks like him and tells stories the same. And then I missed ETH even more. Wayne didn't give me money or help me out or pay my rent....he just made me happy. That's what I will miss the most. |

I went to see Wayne and his family this morning. I got home about the same time as Energizer was leaving to go to the hospital. They were waiting on one more person to arrive, and I knew they had made a decision.

I regret to inform you that Wayne Henry Cobb Jr. has now passed away around 1:15PM Central Time, October 2, 2006. He is now running through the fields of the Hun Farm with Scooter. R.I.P. Wayne and Scooter. |

Condolences to the Texas crew from NY. I'm sorry I did not know him but I have seen his posts and knew of him here.
I saw the picture thread, and that was nice to be able to see what ETH looked like. As soon as practical, would it be possible for a few of you who knew Wayne personally to post a short bio for those of us who never had the pleasure of meeting him in person? I'd for one like to know about the man. Again, I'm sorry for this loss to the ARF community. May God bless him and his family. |
