Has anyone ever seen chrono or gel data for this ammunition? I want to like it, but would like to know more about penetration and expansion....if any. Says 1200fps on the box, I'm skeptical.

I will keep this stuff on my radar. 1200 fps is not going to happen from any pocket .380's with a sub 3" barrel. Doubt its even possible from a Beretta 80X.
Hornady XTP is probably a good choice since it balances penetration and expansion nicely. XTP bullets are usually good for 1.5x caliber expansion. This allows them to penetrate deeper than other hollow point designs. |

It’s clear gel so many people disregard the results, but I contend they’re still good for relative performance. And relative performance in a 380 means you can have expansion with less than 12” of penetration or >12” of penetration with little/no expansion…not both so take your choice. I don’t own a 380 but if I did, I would shoot FMJs in it…for the penetration and potent greater reliability over HPs. Seems to work for the gangbangers. |

I've shot this +P load and it feels stout. Good bit more recoil than regular 380. I have not personally tested it on anything besides paper. I'm worried that it will over expand and under penetrate. But I may be wrong.
I think most conventional, standard pressure loads using the 90gr XTP will work pretty good and they have been tested a bunch, giving the best balance of penetration (around 12"), with some expansion. |

I use the Fiocci XTP with the nickel cases as I tend to get a bit of set-back on the round when loading and unloading the chambered round.

I've chronoed this load from an LCP Max. It was around 1125.

Underwood has poor consistency of product. I would just buy Hornady instead.
