Looking to stack some real true spec 10mm ammo.  I am looking for both target and defensive / hunting rounds for use in a Glock 20 and Stribog SP10A3.  All replies appreciated.

The original Norma load was a 200 at 1200. Doubt you will find that in mainstream ammo today which is basically a 40 S&W with marginally better velocity

Bottom line 10mm is a reloaders cartridge if you don’t reload learn how obtain the gear and components then you are in business

There are several makers loading 200grn 10mm ammo @ or above 1200fps which was the old Norma era standard for that bullet-weight. Federal, surprisingly, offers two such loads.  BB, UW, and DT also offer full-throttle ammo.

For the Stribog SP10A3, it depends on what bullet-weight you want to run. The default weight for 10mm “range” ammo is the ubiquitous 180grn stuff, but it’s only a REAL10mm load if it’s at or above 1250fps. That’s a good solid upper mid-range velocity.  Both Sig and MagTech load 180grn ammo at that velocity.

While 1250fps is not full-power for the 180grn bullet-weight (which is 1350-1375fps), it’s not a .40-level junk load either.

The magtech stuff is pretty decently loaded for bulk/training/target ammo. 1250fps with the 180gr.

Are the Magtech hollow point 10mm 180gr (also 1250fps) as good as the FMJ for Stribog use (hunting/defense stacking)?  So far it looks like Magtech is the ammo to stack for value / price?

Underwood makes the best 10mm and you can usually catch it on sale around holidays

I would look at PSA’s AAC with the XTP. 180 gr at 1200 on the box and YouTube videos seem to show good XTP performance at that velocity.

Might try this stuff from DT or equivalent from BB or UW

I haven’t checked the velocity of the magtech stuff myself but it certainly feels like it has more ass than most other big name manufacturers.

Underwood does make some outstanding ammo. I like their 200gr hardcast for camping and 180gr XTP for everyday.

Has anyone tested the Magtech HP ammo?

No, but from what people say about it, it appears the bullets don't hold together well.

I plan to join the centimeter club this year and just ordered a case of the Magtech FMJ-Bereli has it for basically the same price as .45 ACP. It isn't quite a full house load, but at 1230 fps with a 180gr (not sure of the test barrel length that was derived from) it's a real 10mm load. IMHO this is good ammo to stack for the range.

For defensive ammo, the Underwood XTP loads (both 180gr and 200gr) seem to perform well in some of the (probably not entirely scientific tests) I've been able to find.

I was hoping that the Magtech HP could be an affordable stacking solution.  I really want to find an affordable HP real power 10mm to stack.  I want to be able to purchase 1,000 rds around $500.  If the Magtech FMJ can be had at $399 delivered, then somebody should be able to offer a HP case around $500.

This is what you stack, or the DoubleTap versions.

I stock mostly their 200GR XTP HP's.
