And here is from the spiritus ODA shake down video.

Does anyone have any idea what that optic actually is that is blurred out?  The first time I saw it I thought it looked like a full fde Romeo 2, but in that picture I’m not sure.

I can't say it will fit for sure, but I have a 6390RDS made for the X300 and it fits my TLR-7A fine. There's no excess play or anything once I adjusted the light body tension screw.

Probably a prototype still covered by a NDA, based on the blurriness

Actually thought it was the Romeo m17 for the longest time until that photo.

My new guess is EoTech EFLX

My new new guess is a primary arms optic

Eotech really mailed it in when they made that one. Lots of negative reviews. It is almost as if they just slapped their logo on a cheap Chinese red dot.

I wanted one until I saw that review. I have seen other people say the newer ones are good to go, so I am wondering if they made quiet updates.

The more I look at the two pictures of that dot, I am wondering if it is something still not out yet like maybe a new dpp or new vortex.  The black adjustment dial is what has me because I don’t know of a current model that is fde with a black dial. Also, prices on the dpp just dropped by $100 last month, the way the rmr did right before Trijicon announced the RCR and rmr hd. Hopefully we do get an updated deltapoint.

I was really hoping it would be a good option. I know they get a lot of hate but I am an Eotech fan. I had an issued 552 that was excellent and I have a few of the EXPS’ on a few rifles. I have a Vudo that I really like. I was looking forward to getting one but not really anymore. Shame they didn’t bring that same quality to their MRDS.

The DPP has been popular with the military. They are showing up on a lot of cool guys Glocks. The early DPPs had an issue with flickering and sight failures but it looks like those issues were sorted out rather quickly. I’d like to see stuff like the Holosun SCS 320 comes from an American manufacture. The SCS 320 is smart, no batteries to change, it is compact and fully enclosed. This is the direction the industry needs to go if they are going to get big mil to adopt handgun mounted optics. It needs to be simple, rugged, and individual maintenance free.

Nicely done. If you decide to make another one, if you turn the mags 90 degrees you can carry four mags in the same space as those three. Back in the day I carried two of the “slim” Safariland mag pouches side by side on my duty belt giving me five mags for my M9. The length was shorter than two M4 mags side by side. Since I most of the time all I carried was my M9 I wanted to maximize my round count. Back then we used those checkmate or airtronics 15 round M9 mags.

Judging by yours and some of the newer photos coming out it looks like the PVD controls have totally gone away now.

115gr FMJ seems like such a strange choice. The M882 124gr FMJ has gone away I take it? Is the 115gr just for practice or is it issued as a defensive round? I seem to recall a 147gr JHP based on Winchesters Ranger SXT bullet was going to be issued too. I have to look it up.

Yeah, I thought so, the M1152 is the new 115gr FMJ and there is a M1153 147gr JHP. I imagine that JHP round will be nice to have finally. I don’t have any experience with the 147gr SXT but the 127gr +P+ was a stout round. I carried it a lot before switching to HSTs.

Thanks for the tip. Here’s three mags next to my desk and above my plate carrier. Those mag carriers are usually in my range bag. Velcro on inside/outside of range bag for shotgun/pistol/rifle carriers.  I've made many of these bags.

All the PVD controls were phased out in 2019 or 2020. Sig bought the pistols back and replaced them with black controls.

The surplus PVD pistols were sold by Sig to the commercial market.

Those look pretty good. I regret not learning how to sew. When I have an idea I typically have to pay a lot of money to get something one off made for me. I did recently buy a 3D printer and I have been learning to use it to solve some simple hardware issues and make prototypes so that I can have an actual part machined. I am currently working on a side saddle design for the 1301. I’ve grown tired of waiting for someone else to come up with a solution.

Looking at your pistol mag pouch design, it would be cool to have one that is similar to a bandolier but is also Velcro that you can lay flat in a range bag. If you needed it you could remove it from the range bag and hook it to itself and have it as a grab and go solution. You could even put a small radio pouch in the center and space for a small ifak. Then it can just lay flat in your range bag and be used to transport mags to the range but also can double as active shooter kit.

It’s looking more and more like the RM17 is going to get the nod as the go to red dot. It now has an NSN and more photos are starting to emerge with M17s sporting the RM17. It is crazy to think that in a few short years the military will probably start issuing side arms with red dots on them. The manuals that will have to be written will be interesting to read. An official use guide for a red dot equipped pistol.

The X-Carry grip is nice but the Brouwer 1811 grip would be better IMO.

I agree they should change the grip, but big army never will for the same reason that the m9s had the older internals and they never let Beretta update them to the newer versions.  Also, what grip is such a personal thing.  The SF guys kits that we have seen in here do show that at least they are using the modularity.  Just in this thread, there is x grips, axg grips, Icarus grips, vk systems, Wilson and Brouwer.

They have both.  M17 just replaced the M9 as the full size pistol.  ODAs still get the Mk27/G19 to fill the role as a compact and for the subcompact its the Mk26/G26.  Support personal carry the M17.

So, mission and personel preference like do you carry the 14.5 or 11.5" URGI?

If that's what you mean, I believe those went away when they switched from the tan controls.
