[Last Edit: RangeToy]
I have the itch, who am I kidding it never goes away, to pick up a new range toy. Must be optics & suppressor ready. I'm ok with having to put suppressor height sights on, but has to have a threaded barrel. Don't want anything heavy.

Recently picked up a M&P 2.0 4" and loving it. Should have kept my past M&Ps. Live & learn!

Just a range toy so not looking to break the bank. Do not want a crap trigger, but doesn't need to be a match trigger either. Equal to the M&P trigger would be great.

I prefer 4" ish barrel pistols as they seem to balance & feel best in my hands, but not opposed to 5" barrel. No single stack or 1911. Must be 9mm or 22LR. No Glocks or VP9 or Beretta or DA/SA

If you can find a Springfield Echelon with a threaded barrel I'd recommend that.
It's a very comfortable pistol to shoot and the trigger is really nice for a striker fired gun.

You like M&P's. So do I. I was thinking about one of these since I dont have a plastic .45.

OP, why not a threaded barrel for your M&P?

CZ P10 would be a solid host.

I have an Apex threaded barrel in my M&P & it shoots sub 1 MOA when I am on my game. Which is not most of the time lol

That's what I was going to get instead of the M&P, but I read a lot of talk about the PDP being snappy. Are they?

To be blunt, yes...a 4.5 or 5" variant should help tame that a bit though.

Those are the 2 variants I'd go with

Take a look at the IWI Masada. Great pistol for the money. I love mine. It is available in the “tactical” model. Comes with threaded barrel, optics cut for the RMR footprint and has suppressor height sights. Can be had for $400-$450.

I added a ZR Tactical 17# Captured Guide Rod and I don’t find it a problem with a light hanging off of it and proper off hand placement.

These are cool, but a bit stiff and not exactly budget. I'd consider the Walther PDP Pro instead. Have the compact version for mag compatibility with my PPQ and really like it.

It’s not budget, but it’s UNDER $900 (only $96 more than the Walther PDP at Palmetto St) so it doesn’t break the bank.

That said, the Walthers are interesting to me.

Budget though?

Canik.

My buddy has a Mete and it’s the best striker fired trigger I’ve ever pulled.

My vote is the PDP Pro in your favored size.  Although both my LTT B92 and C2 have been perfect suppressor hosts....just on a different spectrum.
