Taurus figured out the frame safety over 25 years ago

Just like the 1911, they are putting new features on an old war horse.

Glad to see the update.

Absolutely hating the triple color combination.

That example looks pretty classy. I like the two tone with walnut grips. I could see this sitting on a desk in a nice office or library.

My 92fs ate everything I ever fed it.

Dat grip doh.

The vertec grip is an absolute abomination and has ruined Beretta now that it is all they use on new models.  I went from being Beretta's biggest fan to never buying one again unless they get rid of that garbage.

Is this a technical discussion or an advertisement because it feels a lot like an advertisement.

I prefer the 92xi SAO, carry it cocked and locked.

Personally, I like the 92GTS. I was able to get my Launch Edition about a month ago. The decocker will take a little getting use to, but that is not a big deal. I really like the Vertec frame. I have several 92X Berettas, including a couple 92X Performance pistols as well as the 92XI SAO Launch Edition, 92XI SAO Squalo, and a M9A3 and M9A4. Coming from shooting 1911s for many years, the Vertec frame and grip were an easy fit.

The 92GTS Launch Edition looks right at home with my 92XI SAO Launch Edition and 92FS INOX.

P38 had it down before that.

Most of them include a grip module that perfectly replicates the traditional grip. Multiple companies also offer G10 options to do the same thing too. (I think LOK is the only option for the XI guns though.)

Maybe someday they’ll introduce a beefed-up 92GTS model chambered in 10mm AUTO.

I mean, if Taurus can offer a model (TH-10) in Best Meter, certainly Beretta can engineer one off an existing platform.

Would love to see this without a light rail.

I do believe the Pistol Manager for Beretta will be at NRA in Dallas next week. I will inquire if I seem him in the booth.

Please do.  Ya know it is the same with the 80X.  I am a big 80 Series fan but have no desire to own any classic pistol with a rail.  It's nice they are availalbe for people who want them....but I wish companies would do at least minimum yearly runs with them.

Thank you for your response, BTW.  Have a great weekend.

Beretta did it 48 years ago on the original 92.

Has Beretta fixed the locking block that tends to break?

You are not alone in this request. The light rail ruined the sleek lines of the 92

I stopped in to my lgs and looked at a couple.
Both had frame mounted safetys made in TN.
Both had fucked up rifling.
Seriously how do those get out the door?
Do they not think folks will look?

I want to love the new models Beretta is putting out.
Got an m9a3 and a (shit I forget).
But you had better be on your A game before you buy.

From personal experience, I would look-over any TN manufactured Beretta very carefully before purchase.

This and the comment above yours.  Duly noted and thank you for the warning.

It's a God damned shame to live in a country known for making guns that can hardly make guns right anymore.

Thank an MBA.

I about forgot about it but, I sent my M9A3 back because the threads were not concentric with the bore also.
That was some years back.

So the hammer drops into a sear notch.   So when the notch fails, it is relying on the firing pin safety to stop the firing pin from pounding the primer?  There is no longer a manual safety to block the hammer from contacting the firing pin.
