Guys, if you get the chance, stop by the shop, this place rocks! Risking SGB's rath, I'll quickly mention they've got a great collection of AR's on the wall, some very nice knives, and.... yep, a fantastic array of high end 1911's!
I got to see and handle for the first time, an RRA, an Ed Brown (I've got to get one of those Jeff Cooper models!), a Les Baer (talk about a tight lockup!), a compact Wilson Combat CQB (sweet little pistol, what I probably should buy for carry), a Night Hawk (in bobbed tail, first time I've seen one in person). Also saw a customer's bobbed tail too. The guys were very cordial, and willing to spend time letting me check out all the goodies, even though I can't legally buy a firearm directly from them (the contiguous State thing). It was a pleasure meeting you all, I hope I've got this right, there was New-ARGuy (love what you've done to the Desert Warrior, you should consider a thread and pictures on what you've done to customize it!), M4Tuna (spent a ton of time showing me stuff and discussing knives, it was difficult not to buy one!), JaxBushmaster (a post count is not really an important thing ) and 1_AR_Newbie. Gentlemen, thank you all for your hospitality and giving me the tour of the coolest "toy box" in Jacksonville! Next time I come through Florida, I'll stop on the way down, when I've still got some disposable income to play with . |

Nice pictures NAG!
STI makes some good looking 1911s, but I cannot for the life of me figure out why they absolutely destroy their looks with those GIGANTIC rollmarks! Tragic. ETA: Just saw that your shop rents Wilsons. I must know how much it would cost to rent something like that. There is little chance I'd ever get to shoot one out here, but maybe the next time I'm in FL... |
|
|
I really dont know and Dawson/STI are being pretty tight lipped about the whole thing.
Shouldbe some nice guns and grips in this weekend. Wilson and Wicked Grips (as well as Noveske) have all sent a bunch of gear to the shop to participare in our anniversary events. Looking forward to it! |

I don't the SAS means anything. The pistol I just snagged has the same SN prefix. Can we get a pic of the Escort and Guardian next to a Trojan for size comparison? I'm split between the Escort and Guardian for my daughter. Wish they(or the Ranger II) were available in .38 Super without having to order 16 of them.

Took more and downloaded what I had off the camera today, but have not uploaded them. I'll be at the MAGPUL DYNAMICS Basic Carbine Class this weekend (and we're talking about holding a 1911 operators course later this summer!). So I wouldnt look for pics till about Monday or Tuesday. All the Wilson/Wicked Grips pics are there, (not too many guns, maybe 4 or 5) and about as many Springfield pics. A crazy BRIGHT stainless Colt .38 Super came in for a guy on special order (not ny style, but he LOVED it)... and I think thats it for now.

I just get red boxes for all your photos.
Are these all guns you have for sale? Do you ever get/have 9mm 1911s? |
|
|
Same here, nothing but red boxes. |

Most of them are or were for sale. The 1911's go pretty quick. They can order you anything you want though and Neil will give you alot of good recomendations and tell you about what he has seen work good and what hasn't worked out so good. If you are semi close to the store, its worth the trip. They usually don't have many or any 9mm 1911's. |
||
|
I have been trying to figure out wtf is wrong with the photo server
Im sad to say the guns pictured here are not for sale through this or any other site. We only do storefront sales. The pics here are pretty much just for fun amd so people can get a look at different guns. If you are looking for a model gun to buy near you, chances are you might be able to see a decent picture of it on this thread. The only 9 1911's we carry would be the Kimber Aegis and the EMP from SA. Other than that we're pretty much strictly .45s. I have a ton more guns to post, I just opened a new photo server account. I'll try to get them all on next week some time. |

Negative Ghostrider, the pattern is full ...
|
Im really at a loss about all the red box pics. There are so many it would take about forever to move them all from one host (comcast) to another one and then change all the codes in this thread. Crap. Anyway, here's a few more that have come and gone.
Drizz's GRP Recon. We got him a pair of VZ's that no one knows what to call. I called VZ the other day and while I did not talk to John, they couldnt even tell me a name. I think its something new he is working on. I got these when VZ came to our shop to do a demo and sale. I held them back for something nice to put them on. They are like Gators, but with a fimer, tighter pattern. Cool! Another Lightweight Operator is in A used Colt XSE came in and sold pretty quick. Customer liked the grips of the MC Operator over the Rosewoods that it came with. So we got him a set. I usually dont like the rubber grips much, but the Pachmyers turned out pretty ok on it. Eh, blurry pic. Sorry. Springfield is finally pumping out a few more EMPs. We havent had any in a few months. The .40's been out a little while too. It has a steel frame unlikethe alum. framed 9s. And a 9 |

Here's the pic of the Colt Defender I had before the old account went red boxes on me
And the Les Baer TRS Heres a Kimber Pro Carry II in Stainless with Laser Grips we got in used. Guy came in looking for a set of new grips for his Kimber. He thought he wanted Houge rubber grips, until he saw these Diamondwood grips we had from Brownells. I have some other Diamondwood grips in from Houge, but the ones from Brownells are darker and the texture is much sharper and cleaner. |

Trying to get a lot of the older pics in the thread which are now showing as red boxes transfered to a new server. Its tedious and takes forever though
Some new guns in and a few pics of some cool customers guns. Customers old US Property Colt... his dad had it refinished years ago, but apparently is was previously in attrocious condition. One of our customers brought in his Colt Lightweight Commander and got a set of Colt logo Cocobolo grips for it. Tuna had to cut them to fit for an ambi fit. Another customers Rock River was VERY tight! Just got in an unfired Kimber Gold Combat in Springfield GI After being out for a little while, got another STI Spartan in |

Who makes that low profile magwell?? |
||
|
That magwell is custom to the Nighthawk T3 model. I would be surprised if you could get it from them separate. I'm sure one of the very competent smiths on this sight could probably mimic it quite well though. Filling in some more of the red box pictures. I dont know if I'll ever get them all fixed, but Im trying. Here's a new Kimber that popped in. Eclipse Pro, I always rather liked the Stainless high points and blackened lows. |

Man, wheres the MC Operator?
Edit: Never mind. Found it. |
|

Funny you should ask about the MC Operator, a new one just came in, along with a few other Springfields...
MC Operator Sold the Lightweight Operator and put another one out Springfield Camp Perry 100 Year Aniversary model. This is not our gun... Chromeluv brought his custom Colt frame Ray Harms/Gemeni Custom gun in. Whoa... This is serious. Customer bought in a 35-40 year old Colt Gold Cup. Looked good for a gun of its age Transfered a used Springfield Pro in Couple new Ed Browns made it in. Stainless Kobra Carry Special Forces Bobtail |

Its been a busy month of events for the people at the Gun Gallery, so I have been somewhat slack in getting these pics up. I have been taking them as they come in, but things like the Silencer shoot, out Florida Defensive Carbine Club anniversary match, the Pat Rogers LWRC Carbine Course and the Magpul Dynamics Carbine course have been keeping me from maintaining this thread. But all thats over, so here we go!
Got in one of the new Colt Black Army WWI replicas Colt's new Combat Elite model Kimbers new Gold Combat is out, its now available with a rail. Upgrades vs the old model are a serrated top of slide, bushingless bull barrel, very cool grips they call herringbone, the availability of the model with a rail and a new set of sights to include a rear sight which allows for one handed manipulation of the slide... This was always my favorite model Kimber and this new one is nice. I wish it were a 70 series and Im not real huge on the bull barrel, but its still a pretty nice model. Kimbers new Crimson Carry Pro. I like how they shaved the opposite side of the slide stop down so it wont get in the way of the laser. Finally got some more Warriors, I think they should use the same black trigger they use on the Desert Warrior on the Warrior Some of our local SDs Bomb Squad guys are in an anti-terrorist coallition who had some custom Para's made... they seemed to be very happy with them! My Springfield Rep was in a few weeks back and gave his Micro some new mags and a set of VZ ultra thin Gators Slug-O sent his OLD model Kimber in to Dawson to have a rail added. When it came back he added a set of Strider/Simonish Gunners Nighthawk GRP with black slide and grey grame with black canvas VZs. They should have used their black trigger on this one too. Thats all for now! I'd like to take some pics of the guns SGB worked on for us while he was in town. He took a Colt Lightweight Commander and a Springfield Champion and gave each some new parts and a new feel. I'll get the guys who had the work done let me snap some pics of their new blasters! Dont know whats happening lately, but theres A LOT of people coming in selling their guns off. We've got a lot more used stuff in than usual, including a Stainless Wilson Protector and a Nighthawk Talon IV. I'll get some shots of those this week. |

Here's some new pics. First a few shots of the used Wilson and Nighthawk I mentioned previously. Talon IV Stainless Wilson Protector Costa from MAGPUL DYNAMICS just got his SRP in. I like the black trigger, hammer and barrel!!! Colt Defender found a new home, so picked up another New Agent this time Black TRP's just came in Just sold another SA Lightweight Operator, and I was lucky to find another to replace it The guys who had SGB work on their guns came in and let me snap a few pics. Heres a guys Lightweight Operator. When he gave it to us, it looked JUST like the one above. After SGB got through with it, its got a nicer trigger pull with some upgraded Wilson parts and he got rid of the ILS MSH with a SA Magwell. New VZ Operators too! Another guys Colt LW Commander got a better trigger with a Wilson MSH and a set of Colt logo CocoBolo grips to replace the standard Rosewoods. Thats all for now. |

Ed Brown and his crew must be working hard. Had a couple of special orders show up today. He's got a new stamp on the side of the slide. I think some people may hate it. Others may like it. Most I think wont give a crap!!!
Special Forces w/ rail Stainless Executive Carry Although I did not take a pic, it has the same "Ed Brown" stamp on the slide as pictured above. |

Am I right in thinking that you cna pretty much get an Ed Brown any way you want it?
So how 'bout a Special Forces Commander with Rail and Bob-Tail? Possible? |
|
|
No, Ed Brown will deviate from his list of catalog guns the least of anyone I deal with. However, he already makes a bobtail Special Forces, there should be one pictured earlier in the thread, so he may be able to make it with a rail. I dont know for sure though.
