Slide mounted safety is my preference. That is why I tend toward Beretta 92/Storm, Ruger P, PPK, and S&Ws. Have or will own one or more of each. Not necessarily in that order.

Slide-mounted safeties suck! Ask any 1911 manufacturerer, (like me)! Thx, Warren, I'll be doing the same konversion I did for you on my Taurus 92, with the addition of one of my CoralSnake supperssors.

Not to those of us that love it and think the 1911 sucks.  I know they can be a reliable and good shooting gun, but I never found a 1911 that felt good to me and very much prefer a slide mounted safety. I'll keep my Beretta's thanks.  But to each his own. |
