I've used WSF or CFE Pistol for quite a while and always had good luck with them. Recently trying 244 as it's available and I found 4lbs at a big box store for a good price.

Moving from Unique to CFE.
Unique is holding up to it’s name. These days it’s so unique to find one. |

I’ve used HP-38, Power Pistol, and True Blue.
But after trying CFE, I really like it. I’ve compared it to True Blue and sandbagged I’m getting better accuracy with the same components and CFE. Especially in my Gen 5 Glock 19. YMMV. Using Longshot for 147gr and 124gr Gold Dots. Longshot pushes the 147s high enough to exceed most Hollow Point maker's velocity recommendations while not being too high pressure. It burns clean and is very accurate. It does the same for the 124s, but HS-6 is a bit better.
For 1245gr and 115gr plinking loads I use HS-6. |

These days it is whatever you can find at a not insane price !
I have used 231, accurate #5, HP 38,bullseye unique and many others Right now working on a supply of auto comp I will use anything that functions and allows the accuracy standards I need. Was too long ago I recall paying $15 a pound for powder, now it is about twice that or more. |

I have..
WSF True Blue N320 N330 N340 Silhouette Ive loaded probably 6000 or more with WSF and it meters well and it is versatile. Good for 147 subsonic and 124g JHP and FMJ RN. I am migrating to VV powders for cleaner brass. |

CFE Pistol. It shoots well in every gun and it's versatile so I can use it in almost all my pistol calibers. 38's still get bullseye though along with a few other pistol calibers that get specific powders.

Loaded a lot of 9mm with Titegroup. However, I'm out of that now and have a 4lb jug of W244 to try.

I used to use mainly Unique, but am using HP-38 / W 231 now.
I think it burns a little cleaner, but I would go back to Unique if I couldn’t get more HP-38. |

I use longshot. I use it because I was given 4 lbs of it and I liked it enough to keep using it.
I use to use titegroup and still do, but it flashed a lot and I got a suppressor. The longshot doesn’t flash as much. |

Using 700x. Was recently given 6+ pounds, so figured might as well use it in 9mm. Have used 700x on and off since early ‘80s for shotgun and pistol. Also use Red Dot, which can be used in cast lead .30 cal plinking loads.
Reason is I load a lot of 12ga, so it works for slimming down powder varieties on hand. |

Would also depend on it I wanted to make powder puff loads or balls to the wall / max velocity possible loads. There is no 'one powder fits all' solution here friend. Depends on the gun and what sort of loads you are wanting to make. Bullseye, Zip, True Blue and AA#7 are what I mostly keep on hand for 9mm stuff. |

I think I am at about 13lbs of Bullseye right now and it is not even a powder I 'prefer' to use or stock in any big way compared to others that I laid in heavy on but... If push came to shove 13lbs x 7000 grains per lb / about 5 grains per round of 9mm = 18,000 rounds that could be sent down range if I ran out of the stuff I actually liked and had to fall back on it. That is one of the great things about pistol powder - A little generally goes a long way! No reason to not buy an 8lb jug if you run across a particular kind that you like. (an 8lber insulates you (depending on the volume you shoot obviously) big time from any potential shortages or price fluctuations) |

For past 39 years I have been reloading practically all my 45ACP and 9mm ammo with Winchester 231 or HP 38 powder.
Both are basically same powder. |

I use when I started reloading almost 30 years ago, Unique for most plinking loads. Now, Win 231 since it meters better on my 550B. I use VV 3N37 & single stage press for +P loads. In my youthful stupidity, I tried getting 9mm FMJ (they were 90-99gr .380 projectiles) as fast as possible, for reasons that seemed….”fun” at the time. I don’t do that any more, but still use VV 3N37 for “serious” loads.
I did the same with .223 .36gr Varmint Grenades in a 22” barrel, because I thought 4,000fps would be “fun.” Accuracy was shit. I don’t think I ever reached it & a fellow target shooter pointed out how I was burning up throats & shortening barrel life, which may have accounted for my shit accuracy. I thought about it, and stopped. Again—I don’t endorse stupid things….mostly.  But sometimes the retrospectoscope is how I realize my “stupid things.” |

I use Accurate #2 and Titegroup. I just loaded some 10 MM with 180 grain FMJ FP with Accurate #5. Since Hodgdon acquired Western/Accurate/Ramshot the prices have really gone up to the price of Hodgdon, same for Winchester and IMR. Shooters World powders generally have been a little cheaper than Hodgdon.
