What is your favorite conceal carry holster? Not what is the best, but your personal favorite. IWB or OWB and what firearm do you put in it?
Depends on weather as to which gun, but summer or winter I use a Raven.
it's not my favorite but for my schedule and daily AO, i love my Desantis belly band. Wear it daily with G23
My own home made. It's an ugly prototype but it works and it's MY Frankenstein monster.
Crossbreed FTW. I have many, many others, but always seems to go back to my Crossbreed.
Link to the best holster I've ever used!
You will thank me later. /thread ETA: I also have one of his "Jake Belts". I will never wear anything else. |
I have a shit ton and use them all in different ways.
My most used is my HBE Leather Com III for my Glock 23, IWB. Eric does great work and his wait times are reasonable. Off the shelf I would say is my Comp-Tac CTAC for my Glock 35 IWB. |

My favorite is made here by Shadow Holsters (goodmedicine) My daily carry is my 1911 Springfield 45, cocked and locked, molded to accommodate this.
Winter or Summer. Doesn't matter.
AIWB a M&P 9c in a custom hybrid holster with belt slots, zero cant, and loopbelt. If I need to wear a suit, then it's a custom 3Speed holster with either the Airweight or the Shield. |
Right now it is my INCOG. Very comfortable, adjustable for cant, lightweight and extremely comfortable and concealable. My Raven Phantom for OWB is fast becoming a favorite too. Very comfortable as well.
For my 1911 the White Hat IWB and for the P938 a Super Fly pocket holster
For me, its a Garrett Ind. Silent Thunder....
1911 in one every day. |
The best Kydex holster I have used is JM Custom kydex. Their OWB holsters hug the body very tightly - much tighter than a Raven which is my second favorite kydex holster. I use his IWB3 for my Shield (or did before I sold the Shield), and it is comfortable and well made. Great holsters.
I have tried quite a few holsters I usually carry OWB with a shirt over. The most comfortable for me is the Fobus holsters. They just seem to work well for my needs.
I'm partial to the G-Code Incogs
My primary carry pieces are my full size 1911 and a Glock 19. Have a Incog for each |
My Big Ugly Leather Works "Do All" holster (see avatar). I switch it up a lot, but I carry it more IWB than OWB.
For my regular style 1911's its my "CrossBreed" horse leather all day long. For my railed and light equipped 1911 its my "Multi Holster". I am also using a "CrossBreed" horse leather belt as well as their spare magazine holster, the singe magazine style option.
Both are essentially the same, made to order leather and kydex combo holsters. I was going to try the MTAC for my light equipped 1911's but I did not see any options for it on their web site. |

My EDC is a 5" Kimber 1911. I really like my Bear Creek OWB, I also have a Bear Creek 1.75" belt. Quality and workmanship is top notch. |

This one has suited me well for 3 years now.
No complaints. http://www.whitehatholsters.com/maxtuck-antique-cowboy-black-horsehide/ |

Milt Sparks Versa Max II for a 4" Raptor and a Bianchi leather paddle OWB Colt Detective holster.
Milt Sparks Versa Max 2
Second is a tie between Milt's Summer Special and Kramers IWB2 |
For OWB, Raven, although I'm going to give KT Mech a chance here.
For IWB, White Hat Holsters. |
I carry a Crossbred supertuck at 3 o'clock.
Making a transition to appendix carry, think I'll try the G - code Incog for this. |
