I tell you what the more I play with this glock craft trigger the more I like it I'm gonna leave it as is bc when it breaks in after a 1000 or so rounds I think it will be perfect.

Ordered a vickers tactical extended mag release.  Doing dry fire drill exposed the oem as a weakness for me.

Only one thing left to do now: It involves said glock, homemade chicken pizza with olives and a couple pounds of tannerite.

To get this thread up to speed yes my slide cracked.   Slipped out of my hands and fell on the kitchen floor and cracked .... #glock perfection.

Anyways glock is handling it for 180$ so not too shabby.   Gonna change directions while I'm at it having them install night sights.  Factory suppressor sights are going to dashispy and my factory threaded barrel is now in the EE https://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_89/1521545_Glock_17_oem_threaded_barrel_new_unfired.html

Ordering a s3f barrel.... No real reason behind the barrel change lol bc I fucking can

Crack

But at least I installed the  magwell and mag release

I actually like the frame, but you'll be better off with a stock slide sans cerakote.

Well I ended up going a different route to replace the cracked slide.  It's gonna be a hot minute before I can throw a pistol can in nfa jail and I just started paper work on another can so its gonna be a bit before I'll be suppressing any of my pistols.   Took this as an opportunity to tailor this gun to me a little more if you will, as well as just having a bit more fun with it since its just going to be a range/fun gun most likely.

I wanted to keep the cracked slide and glock would not let that happen, plus the 2 week turn around, and it was looking to be about 230$ with shipping.   I went ahead and ordered a bare bones solid lonewolf g17 slide.  Nothing fancy just a solid (no cuts) stripped slide with a nice carry bevel and front press check serrations for 185$ shipped.   That will be here this Friday.

Sold my factory barrel and ordered a blem s3f solutions barrel for 190$ fluted and tin coated

I love flat black rear sights was gonna order a flat black rear with FO front (what I usually run on everything), however decided to order the Kyle Defoor sights which are black rear and black serated front.  I like the concept behind them and will give them a try.  Easy enough to swap the front out for a FO if I don't like the black front.

Decided to also order the "frank Proctor wotg" package while I was at it.   He reps these parts very heavily for reliability so I figured I'd give it a try:
Which are:
Proctor striker spring by Zev
Zev connector
Zev trigger spring
Zev fps plunger and spring
Zev recoil rod
Ismi 13 lb recoil spring.

Also ordered the glock armorer tool, lwd striker sleeve tool, and a replacement oem striker sleeve

Anxious to see how the trigger turns out combining everything withe the glockkraft show and bar

Everything will be in Friday.   Should be a fun weekend

Saga continued this week lone wolf slide was out of spec so I sent it back.  Purchased a unity tactical slide from the lgs.

Installed everything today and ran into a few snags fine tuning the setup

Alright played with a couple different setups

Setup 1

Gk trigger
Zev connector
Zev fps plunger and spring
Zev proctor striker spring
Zev trigger spring

Setup 1 worked with factory striker spring and fps but with the zev upper parts it was stupid light but would often release striker on reset

Setup 2

Same as 1 but with factory trigger /trigger bar and factory trigger spring.

Problem became a little less but still there

Setup 3

Same as 1 but used factory fps and spring

Problem still there

Setup 4

Started trouble shooting and trying different setups.  Narrowed it down to the connector and trigger spring.
Removed zev connector and trigger spring.

Installed zev proctor striker spring and fps plunger and spring

Problem solved.  And I like the break wayyyy better with factory connector.  It's still feels a lot lighter and most of the grit is gone trigger is now super smooth with a glass rod break.

My question is why would the zev connector be causing problems ? And is it bad to run a light striker spring with a stock connector ?

Final setup till I find a solution for the connector

Zev trigger spring

Zev recoil rod
Ismi 13lb spring

These were before shooting pics

Put 450 rounds through her today.

Ran great final setup:

Zev fps plunger and spring
Zev proctor striker spring
Zev guide rod
Ismi 13 lb recoil spring
Zev trigger spring
Glock Kraft trigger
Oem connector
S3f solutions barrel
Unity slide
Agency mag well
Vickers mag release

Waiting on Mrds and atom mount to ship

Aftermarket guide rods do nothing for reliability.  If anything, they decrease reliability with a standard weight slide.  Personally, I'd consider the OEM Gen3 RSA to be the most rugged in handgun history.

Good for you.  I know this is hard for Glock robots to handle but you can actually tune you gun for performance.  Using things such as smoothing up the action and the trigger to finding a good recoil spring to match what your shooting.

Irony is gun was 100% reliable with a 13lb recoil spring and was very quick back on the sights.

Here is a good watch

After a lifetime of 1911's I recently purchased my first Glock (G19 gen4).
After reading this entire thread twice, I offer the following opinions:
1. I like everything about the OP's pistol, from choice in aftermarket mods to the stippling pattern.  I personally think it looks great, but more importantly I think the sum of the mods makes it a much better pistol than stock.  Better trigger, barrel, sighting system, grip.  Custom fit for the OP's hand and style of shooting.  Intelligent build.  The cerakote finish on the original slide wouldn't have been my first choice, but I still liked it, and appreciate the fact that he knew what he wanted and went for it.
2. I might be new to this particular forum, but I've got decades of experience on internet gun boards.  That being said, I still get surprised when people take the time to post comments that add nothing to the thread.
Nice work, Patch.  That's a balls-to-the-wall approach to personalizing your pistol, and I applaud you.

Thank you sir

And yes every mod had a reason.  Now the slide change wasn't planned but I was planning on adding a rds down the road anyway so figured might as well take care of it while I have the chance.

I'm new to glocks as well.  I already have a g34 on the way.
