Only works if the driver perfectly matches a correctly hardened screw head.

Cheap hex drivers are rarely hardened or ground correctly to size.

By Bondhus or Allen brand hex drivers.

I use Wilson stainless hex screws on mine. I just set 'em 'n forget 'em. See?

Slotted. I like being able to use a coin to remove grips for cleaning in a field environment.

I voted hex just because I like the looks better.  
No idea about the strength of them.
