Bunch of great choices in the thread. Better than mine actually.
I'll add Come and See. Russian flick about a Belorussian kid who has the Einsatzgruppen show up to his town. Gets Blood Meridian-esque. Great combat scenes in parts.  COME AND SEE Trailer Milius's Conan the Barbarian. Come on, you're hearing the kettledrums start as you read the title.
