I've noticed that you need to click the embedded YouTube widget twice in order to start playback.
Other sites that embed YouTube videos do not require two clicks, rather a single click is enough to start playback. I've seen this on desktop as well as mobile, Safari as well as Chrome. |

We did this for giant video sharing threads per user request. So when you click on the video, THEN it starts to load and hit google's servers. Prior to that, there's no data being passed to them and no data being drained as you scroll through threads with embedded video. Hope this makes sense! |
