Probably going to be getting some new wheels for the 2018 GX I just picked up.  Hard to believe these can be cheaper than a 4runner.

The OEM wheels look a little too tucked into the fenders. Hunting for something with a little more (less?) offset.

These gloss gray TRDs are definitely in the running.

So I have a 2018 GX and I'm shopping matte black TRD wheels with some ATs.

Plenty of knockoffs on craigslist with chinese tires but I'm not super hot on those. I keep an eye out on marketplace and craigslist for takeoffs. I ordered the black prado rails to install but havent done them yet either.

We did get the chrome wrapped though.

Nice.  Did you wrap it to match the paint color?

I'm going to ask about that when I get the windows tinted.

I have an LX570 but I think the wheels considerations are similar for all practical purposes.  If you stick with stock suspension, that is.  My Method wheels are +35 offset which tucks in nicely. If you go smaller offset and wider stance, it can cause some fitment issues, can wear things out a bit faster, and more potential for kicking up rocks and damaging paint.   It is a look that a lot of people like though, so there are ways around it.  I think the Icons or Methods are about the best bang for the buck right now. Any of the TRD stuff is big bucks comparatively speaking.

Ours is black, and I wrapped it satin black. Just a little duller than the factory paint but honestly wrapping gloss would have been more contrast that the satin.

I paid $680 for all the chrome including the grill, as well has having them tint the front bumper makers and side mirror blinkers.

I have ssw on my 470, they've held up well but I haven't really offroaded this one like my last 470. Wish level 8's were still available.

Yeah I don't plan on modifying the suspension at all.  Looks like the stock GX wheels are 25mm offset.  I believe the TRD wheels are all 4mm, and enough guys have them installed that you can pretty much figure out if a wheel/tire combo will fit without modification.

The Turd wheels on my list are around $1000 for a set of four.  Not too bad.

I did see those.  I think their offset is a bit lower than the TRD wheels, which is good.

I had the six shooters on my 4Runner, they're pretty light. I have the BFDs on my tundra and they're 22.5 lbs. I went up 2" in tire size from the OEM P tires and I'm only 4 lbs heavier per corner. Too much poke for my tastes, though (+20 offset vs +60 OEM)

Yeah I read that they're pretty light.  Odd that the one's I was talking about don't show on their main page, the "ƒ(x) Pro" which look identical to the TRD wheels.

Those look sharp.  Sucks to be in RI.  The less wheel coverage you have, the more rusty, shitty brake/suspension components you can see through them.

Make sure they have a 106mm center bore. There's lots of 6 on 5.5 wheels with larger bore, which will fit, but won't be hub centric and will be a hassle forever.

My tires are the originals from 2018, and are dry-rotted to shit.

Perfect time for a wheel upgrade.

Wife bought a 470 a couple years ago with these. She likes them, I tell her she looks like a drug dealer.  I like the look of the TRD wheels and may get a set when it’s time to change tires.

And they are a huge PITA. Every time you get tires changed, rotated, or balanced, the tire shops destroy or lose them. Much better to buy the correct wheels to begin with.

Nothing wrong with that!

The factory wheels are a perfect match for the silver too.

I bought wheels for my 4runner and the place I got them from said they wheels are lugcentric instead of hubcentric and I would be fine without hub rings. I’m sure they would sell me the rings if they were needed.
