Our church always does the military care packages during the holidays. Normally I just raid the Target snack aisle and fill it up with junk food. Just thought I’d ask the advice of those who have been there, what’s the best stuff to send? Doesn’t have to be food necessarily.

Sorry, can’t send porn, booze, or tobacco. If I could I absolutely would, but they go through each box and take that stuff out if it’s included.

This question always sort of depends on where they are deployed though.

Maybe DVD movies might be something other people don't think of, and they can be traded around and don't get used up like food / toiletries do.

Best to ship in a 5 gallon plastic bucket you can use it to sit on use it to wash clothes and for many other uses.

Think about what you use every day and what you would use if you were camping walk through a good sporting goods store and look for things that are interesting.  I found some "Misty-Mates"  you put water in it pump it up and get a fine spray to cool down Like this

Hygiene stuff established..I got 2 case packs of little debbie Christmas tree cakes,
gave all the guys on my team, a box for christmas.. little.things mean the world and every deployment is different.
