Love the look of the classic wood grips on a J-frame. Nice revolver, OP

Thanks! I just got it.

Have you shot it yet? I'd like to know if it still shoots well.

It seems to. I've only put 10 rounds thru it so far but it works.

It has plenty of finish wear but I'm not sure it's ever been fired before.

The trigger is super nice, even in DA.

Hey @MoonDancer

How do you like that grip adapter? Does it keep your middle finger from getting smacked by the trigger guard?

I always thought those were odd-looking OP.

Of course that didn't stop from buying my own Model 49 and carrying it in a Mika holster.

I like it.  I liked it enough that I bought another one for my Speed Six.  I like the look and performance of target stocks for 4" and up barrels but think that 3" and under look better with service style stocks.  But, performance is lacking without filling in that spot behind the trigger guard, hence grip adaptors.  The ones I have are BK, not Tyler.

Not blued, and not wood grips, but similar and has a grip adapter:

I don't know if my knuckle is hit by the trigger guard, my whole hand has a lot to reckon with when I touch off some 158gr LSWCHP .38 loads.

ETa: but works great on my schofield.

I don't have a lot, but here goes.  A 3" Python is next on the list, and then an older blued 4".

Got snowed in today, so I finally took some time and changed grips.
Wood grips look nice, but too slippery when shooting 44 mag.

Someone should jump on this Model 19. Very clean pinned & recessed 19-3 that ends in 2hrs. It's been refinished, but who cares for a cheap shooter.
